If we’re relying on the portal for talent instead of recruiting and development, why not just cut these two and put their salary towards NIL?

I look at a guy like Kennedy as Exhibit A, B, and C and realize he arrived in IC as a pretty highly ranked recruit and still without an AA finish. And can't blame injuries either.

I've been reading these forums for a long time, and I've never seen you this bitter. At least you weren't this way before you became an "insider". Which, by the way, is probably the reason that the Iowa rumors are always swirling. They are the only team I've seen that allows all donors to the "inner circle" to be "insiders".

ok than still replace current assistances, get recent grads as assistants, who will do it for half the price cause it’s Iowa, and hire a mental sports counselor and a functional strength trainer.

He will likely end his hs career as a better wrestling prospect than Kueter imo. Dreshaun is a 3star for football right now, but he’s only a sophomore. I hope he chooses wrestling but I’m not sure how he sees it.

Willie, personally I take what you say is golden so thank you. Do you think Miller has no chance to go to Iowa? What about the Munaretto kid? What's your thoughts on Ross to Iowa? Any of the top U15 kids Iowa should be on? I love following recruiting more than anything else. Give us some good hopes Willie!
Exactly. Iowa should absolutely reach out to him about joining our RTC and HWC. Having a 57kg rep and a heavyweight rep that’s as skilled as Spencer and Gable would absolutely be a draw to future recruits. Spend money to earn recruits.

Rylan Rogers is in the portal as well. 184lber with 4 years left. Assuming Gabe stays at 174, and Angelo has some flexibility with weight gain/loss - he's been all over the place wrestling from 160 to 180, I think he might be a good investment. 2 time state champ from Idaho then transferred to Blair. Had a 13-5 record as a RS and bumped up and wrestled some studs with close losses.
2 Fargo finalist, 3x Fargo all-American, 2x state champ, won Ironman and Super 32. It's hard to be "on" when youre a back-up or Redshirt. I think a change of scenery could do him well. He has the skills. Cousin of Chandler Rogers from Okie State.
He hasn’t been on the bench though. He faced several non-AA level guys last year and was handled with relative ease. Not an answer for next season.
