What’s sad is that I can understand stuff going bad in the moment, but there doesn’t seem to be much refresher training in the aftermath of such incidents, especially if they can look back and know that they were wrong in the moment.Listened to some of the Arbery trial on CNN over lunch. They kept asking this cop if he'd received training in de-escalation. And, in three different ways, he described how either the presence or his weapon, or 'drawing down', aiming his weapon at a suspect, was how he was trained to de-escalate a situation. Seems to be the opposite of de-escalation...
He also said they are trained that everyone is carrying a dangerous weapon, their fists, and should be treated as such. They are a hammer looking for a nail, and that is how they are trained.
All professions have bad people. Always have, always will. Nothing new here.

I bet this story really, really triggers you.

There is next to nothing about this story in the media. If you google "Castroville police chief" you see a lot of stories about the previous chief who was fired and sent to prison in 2019 but not much about this N word incident.
Police auditor TXSHEEPDOG72 went to the city council meeting last night and filmed the meeting and then filmed the police chief sneaking out the back door of city hall. He has almost 6 hours of video on his channel.
How do we know it costs $800 per hour to fly a police helicopter? How do we know the helicopter was dispatched specifically to request people exit a pool?
The cops shot Jay Walker 60 times.
You surely don't support this?????
ThisI hate when people compare totally different situations and act like the outcome should always be the same. Different information, different cops, different scenarios equal different results. Plenty of white people getting shot by the police, but that doesn't meet certain individuals agendas.
I'll give my two cents on this shooting (haven't read all the details). The cops were justified using deadly force to apprehend him. However, they are only justified using deadly force until the threat is neutralized. There is no way that many cops should have been shooting that many times. The cops are screwed on this one and should be.
