Each year I ask knowledgeable wrestling fans how the above match will go. Going weight by weight would be appreciated. I know nothing about wrestling so I appreciate your patience. TIA

I see this as pretty much the same BUT I dont see Bastida beating Warner ...I know it happened last season but i think that was a fluke and Warner has a lot more focus now and hopefully he picks up this season where he left off last season.Lee tech

I dont expect him either, but will he pull a Sam Stoll and go out for his last CyHawk Dual?Too early to predict as neither school has weights all locked in.
Doubt we see SL in a meaningless dual.
No, ISU no longer warrants this level of response.I dont expect him either, but will he pull a Sam Stoll and go out for his last CyHawk Dual?
Remember when the dual with ISU meant something? No, ISU no longer warrants this level of response.
You guys are funny. It's an in state rival it will always means something. They also have recruited well so I expect the duals to be very entertaining for a whileRemember when the dual with ISU meant something?
Yea, me neither.
Rival? You guys are funny. It's an in state rival it will always means something. They also have recruited well so I expect the duals to be very entertaining for a while
The duals have been pretty one sided for the last two decades. You guys are funny. It's an in state rival it will always means something. They also have recruited well so I expect the duals to be very entertaining for a while
So even though ISU wrestling isn't in Iowa's stratosphere, they're still a rival? Lol.Yes. In state rival
Yep...the word "rival" implies a matchup where the outcome is in doubt. So even though ISU wrestling isn't in Iowa's stratosphere, they're still a rival? Lol.
I remember some serious dogfights and a lot of fur flying ….. kinda miss it….. went to the dual in Hilton 4 years ago and Dwight Hinson was sitting behind me….. I’ve known the Ironside boys since they were kids so had to bring up some of those old duals…. he grinned and was very complimentary of Ironsides and Iowa….. real nice guyRemember when the dual with ISU meant something?

It's wrestling in Iowa a rivalry is a mustSo even though ISU wrestling isn't in Iowa's stratosphere, they're still a rival? Lol.
Bobby Douglas was too good of a human being to be at ISU.I remember some serious dogfights and a lot of fur flying ….. kinda miss it….. went to the dual in Hilton 4 years ago and Dwight Hinson was sitting behind me….. He was coaching a friend of mine’s kid at the time and they invited me to go out to eat after but had other plans……. the rivalry is fun but they’re not all evil ….. I always respected the hell out of Bobby Douglas too….. not sure how Sanderson can look in the mirror the way he ****ed that man
Lol, ISU is as much a "rival" of Iowa in wrestling as Iowa is a "rival" of Ohio St. in football. It's wrestling in Iowa a rivalry is a must
ADS had to fight off from being pinned and Stoll came out to seal it. Barnburner. Who are these amnesia clowns on here?it can still be a rivalry even if it’s lopsided
2018 was what 19 to 18 in Iowa City….. I was there and they had me real nervous
Lol, one close dual in 10+ years, yeah my bad.ADS had to fight off from being pinned and Stoll came out to seal it. Barnburner. Who are these amnesia clowns on here?

This is only concerning the dual and not NCAA's. What part did I get wrong?Well, you for one as that’s not how it went down.
Regardless, ISU had everything going for it that day taking on a wretchedly sick Iowa team, including winning a match they were trailing in by MFF, and still couldn’t get it done.
The gap at NCAAs that year was (and continues to be) massive. That said, I will never not consider it a rivalry.
I think you better read this article. It backs up my claim.Well, you for one as that’s not how it went down.

Iowa Tops Iowa State, 19-18, in Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The third-ranked University of Iowa wrestling team defeated Iowa State, 19-18, on Saturday in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series.hawkeyesports.com
Well, duh…. A niche sport in one of the few states where it’s relatively popular. A rival. So even though ISU wrestling isn't in Iowa's stratosphere, they're still a rival? Lol.
