Pryce Sandfort 0-2 from the line. Josh Dix 0-2. They add up in the end. How Iowa is LAST in the B1G in free throw % is beyond me. To be a shooting team and putrid from the line is just awful.
Looked like Hawks played harder/tougher on defense without Freeman.
Of course it helped that Kaufman got two fouls and went to bench.
Braden Smith and Kaufman look to be most of the Boilermaker team. Good enough to beat Iowa, probably not at
#7 team in nation. If Painter gets them to Elite8 he deserves a pay raise.

How is this possible with D1 scholarship basketball players
It fits the profile of mentally weak/lacking concentration.
I just think it is energy to prove they can play without Freeman. Second half will be telling.
I've never had a sports gambling account, but I saw the line for this game tonight and I almost went and opened one. I'd have been in for probably at least a few hundred on Purdue to cover I know there's an entire half left and TKR will be back in, but once again I'm reminded why I don't bet on sports.
Hats off Hawks of course that shot goes in but proud of the effort with zero expectations or truly worrying about it.
Let's call it a game and go home. I doubt these hawks have enough in tank to win this. They are playing hard though, so that is good to see.

This is totally setting up for a 'heartbreak' finish, but at least the Hawks are showing some life.

They didn’t call it on Sandfort so same as Purdon’t but that one was baaad.
