Agree on the former, but the latter..... If you want to actually be taken seriously EVER on this site, "Carl" is part of a very specific theme. Misspelling names, mainly what originated through spellcheck/autocorrect, is a STAPLE. See Gabe "Stevenson" as a prime example. Those of you that get your panties in a wad over "Carl" simply show why you don't belong here...

I've seen him cheer when Iowa loses with my own two eyes. It was Nationals in Oklahoma City. What someone does when they think no one is watching tells everything.

They already have a stud small heavy coming in, maybe they think one can make the huge cut for several years. In that case, don’t know why Carroll left.
Their 197 is set in stone with Cody Merrill, their heavy recruit coming in isn’t better then Correa.

Carroll literally was too intimidated to wrestle DT in the room. He refused to wrestle him. Doesn't make sense to me, but kids, right? He had the best training partner in the world and took a pass.
Thought Merrill would be a heavyweight. He’s a tweener like Ben and Carroll. Knowing this now, I wonder why Carroll left. He seemed pretty comfortable and good sized at heavy. I couldn’t believe he could make 197 and be effective.

Although the auto correct is part of the shtick with Carl’s name it really started during the 2013 season when Mark Ironside spent the entire season calling Logan Stieber, “Stiebler” on the radio broadcasts. This was after Logan had won a national title the year before so he was not exactly an unknown wrestler. Grace would correct him occasionally but it never stuck. Ironside had the same issue with Steveson but to be fair several other broadcasters struggled with his name early on.
I know Iowa was recruiting him, but really not sure how hard. I think they were OK with him going somewhere else. Hope he has a good career at UVA.
And maybe he cheers extra hard when Iowa loses. We all get to have opinions and think what we want. If you think he acts like he likes Iowa for any other reason except access to our coaches and team, for his JOB, you are a fool.
