I think Richmond is just that bad. If we were playing a good team, we'd be down 15-20.
Might be a lot less stressful rest of March after today, if Hawks keep on being as cold as that ice rink under the hardwood and making stupid azz plays that gives Richmond points and momentum ...................

Give Richmond credit but Iowa is playing like crap. What was Perkins thinking at the end of the half? The team needs an a** chewing.
Lots of frustration in the body language... Patrick throwing his arms up, Keegan short with Sandfort. Not likey. They look tight and uninterested.
The foul was Perkins’ hand on Burton’s shooting arm. It wasn’t him interfering with the landing
He's trying to be Kobe for them and is forcing some awful shots just hoping they'll go down.
They had about an 8 minute stretch where they were just chucking shots.
We're gonna have to grow a pair in the 2nd half and battle just a little more for shots inside A. because it's there and we're just allowing them to dictate control inside, and B. because our outside shot is just off/short right now.
Keegan is probably more hurt than we know because he wanted no part of the ball after he rolled his ankle.
I don't blame Fran for this game. If none of the players show up, not much you can do. I can't see anyone htat has shown any balls to defend or make shots or at least not make dumb plays. They spent a lot of emotional energy on that BTT and I understand that...but you can't play this bad.

But, but, but....we won the Big 10 Tourney. Richmond is trash....Gonzaga or AZ would be up by 50 right now. Fran looks to be back in his comfort zone as a Not Ready For Prime Time Player.
This KeyBank Center venue sucks. You can tell when the ball hits the rim on both ends. Iowa players slipped at least three times on their offensive end. Something’s not right.
Get the win today and beat Providence Saturday, then GTF out of there.
We should still be capable of winning an ugly game with poor shooting due to our athleticism and getting to the rack. Not surprising that we're facing a grind it out, slow pace to minimize possessions, but we're committing too many turnovers and just not making shots. Like they said, we're really very fortunate to not have a hill to climb.
