It goes much deeper than that. Both sides get at some core truths: the right is right when pointing out it's a mental health issue and ultimately it takes someone pulling the trigger. Yet they are the same scumbags eliminating the type of programs that make mental health opprtunities available. The left has a point about the prevalence of guns in this country. We are addicted. But how does one eliminate the type of weapon that can kill 50 people in seconds? And will it really keep these out of people's hands? Will anyone start showing common sense about the types of weapons that should be available? Are we past the point of no return? The gun/murder industry and the NRA certainly have the GOP on their knees servicing them. BUT there's even more to it than that. We need an "all in" approach on the causes, yet no one wants to listen.
