Actually he gave them an opportunity to prove themselves in an open tournament... and they certainly showed who they are.

If he gave them each a rope the most certainly would have hung themselves with it.

Rather this happen now with AJ then at a more important event or when he was an actual Hawk. Tom went to bat for them and AJ blew it all up in one night.

I don’t have an issue with what happened in Anthony and Rathjen’s match. Wrestlers pushing each other, news at 11. When Rathjen got in his face and flexed, Anthony took it like a man.

All AJ had to do was pat Glazier on the back smile at even the ones who are booing him, accept his trophy and move on.

The family needs to have a reckoning with AJ and hold him accountable for his actions. Either they do and Angelo stays or they don’t and go somewhere else. Angelo and Anthony are not AJ.

I would bet there will be no individual champs this year. After Woods leaves who knows how long until there will even be a contender.

We are begging for one. The other team is wondering how many.

Don't give up on the kid yet. He is immature and needs molding. He and likely Anthony need TnT and the whole roster to help these kids grow up. They have been programmed to never lose bc that's the way his dad taught him. Hearing Angelo talk in interviews their collective attitude is 100%R on the old man. Ironside is vehemently defending AJ as I type this.

Don't forget Austin DeSanto, who appeared to be totally out of control prior to arriving in IC (and even for a short while after that). The problem may be that their are two Ferrari's on the team.

DeSanto is a totally different situation. ADS has a medical condition that hindered emotions and maturity....this can be worked on. The Ferrari clan is a bunch of assholes...that can't be worked on unless they want to. ADS wanted to improve his life, and he has grown into a great young man. I'm not sure we'll ever be able to say the same about AJ, but the other two Ferrari's have a chance.

The whole AJ thing reminds me of the PD3 ordeal from years ago...that didn't work out either.

HOWEVER…TnT really should have anticipated the potential fallout and got the message to AJ and Glazier (and AJ’s dad who, let’s be honest, is the puppet master) that they need to show some self control and not let things escalate in their match. Perhaps it would have been wise to not even wrestle the match. Either that message was not sent, or everyone involved chose to ignore it.

The same TnT who orchestrated the Lee v Ayala match last year, possibly even throwing a little gas on the fire before that match?

Not sure they have enough foresight to see that the 97 match could go sideways.

Let's all calm down and see how this thing shakes out. These are enormous competitors and they're not going to roll over for the Ferraris. Whether it be Rathjen or Glazier. All of them were douches today, but it's as competitive as is possible. AJ giving the finger was inexcusable.

AJ taking a swing was inexcusable, AJ giving the crowd a finger was inexcusable, AG giving the crowd the finger again was inexcusable……appears teammates as well ss the fans are not as accepting of this family as some on here would like everyone to think.

Not sure why coaches didn’t have PK “bulking” up during the offseason just in case his gambling sentence allowed him to wrestle. Unless the plan all along is to wrestle Gabe at 174. Otherwise it just doesn’t make sense to me. The coaches get paid to coach.

I think you have to harness the WWE/attention seeking in them and make it work if possible. Granted it might not.
Thats what TnT are paid to do. Not every kid is the same. Easy example is Spencer Lee = class act. The Ferraris = not at all. But could they harness it like a controlled nuclear detonation? Control it? Master it? Then, unleash it and surgically destroy the enemy?

Other than that, teammates wrestled each other all weekend and were just fine. Except for 2 matches. I will let you figure out what the common denominator in those two matches was.

This has to be an act. Do you forget Spencer pushing off drake's chest, calling him a bitch then screaming "he wanted it" repeatedly? Shit gets heated between teammates when they're fighting for a spot on the lineup. But AJ crossed a line with the punch for sure.

Iowa wrestling is an absolute mess right now.

I will give Cael some credit he has turned the PSU room into a gladiatorial arena with his loaded rosters but yet you see little to no bad blood spilling over to the public.

At Iowa we have an absolute sh!+$how on display. Bad blood for two years with wrestlers and fans booing what should be their own. Any potential recruit has to see Iowa as an absolute mess.

I have a cousin who wrestled in the Iowa room for two years back when the Brands bro's were there. He always tells me the practice room was a war zone. Blood, sweat and fiery spirits. Yet it rarely spilled over to the outside. Bad blood and all.

Really disappointed in TnT, Iowa Wrestling Fans, the Ferrari's and Glazier and Rathjen tonight.
