Except spaz out over getting his head pushed on at the end of a match like happens in about half of college matches.

SOMEONE talk me down!!! WTF just happened!?!?!??! This is a 5 alarm fire, and we are at DEFCON 10!!!! Why, WHY wrestle AJ here? What was there to win? I hope I am over reacting but I am not seeing any light right now!!!
Hoping there is some kind of plan that TnT have but I certainly do not see one? What do you do for next event? I guess sit AJ IF he is even on the team after that sh*tshow??? We can not afford to lose the younger ferrari, AND somehow have to pick up more TOP recruits!?!?!?

I feel ripped off. Short- changed even. Tom should put Terry in charge of them. Bummer.
What could you do to aj if he’s not even considered apart of the university or team at this point? Its a terrible look but at least it was done when he wasn’t in a black n gold singlet
Jesus, I’m only on page 5 of this thread thread and it’s ridiculous. I laughed at Caleb and Anthony’s post match antics and never thought anything of it. I laughed at the push and the flex back, I’d do the same thing with my brother. The only thing about the Zach and AJ match I found disturbing, besides the girl punch, was AJ ‘s behavior after he was disqualified. Dude is a puke trying to sell tickets to a show I don’t want to see.

Naw. All was fine until the punch was thrown. Then, it wasn’t. That’s some next-level villain shite right there, fellas.
I think it was carefully orchestrated by TnT to put on a show tonight. This brings energy to a program reeling from the gambling investigation, not to mention the gap between Iowa and PSU is maybe the largest its ever been.
After how it all went down will any decisions be made solely by Brands, or is it possible the AD or administration get involved?
I have an opinion that I don’t think will be met well at all, but screw it.
I think I’m a well reasoned poster and I know I understand the sport. I think we saw tonight why de facto wrestle offs are no longer being held in public.
When Caleb beat VV3 and yelled I beat him every single fing time and I want my spot, then Caleb flexes on Anthony, slaps his chest and yells it’s my ****ing spot. There’s a lot of emotion in this sport. There’s only one spot and often times margins are slim. You have the recipe for fireworks.
Flash forward to Aj vs Glazier. Glazier is a senior that has bided his time, improved year after year, and has wrestled damn well to this point in the season. His match tonight was pry looked at as a de facto wrestle off. I don’t condone AJ’s actions but I sure see how he got there. Imo, that wasn’t the best officiated match. I thought Aj pushed the action for the entire first period. When Zach did start pushing that’s all he did. I don’t know if I saw an offensive move his entire match. After the second stall aj wasn’t happy. I’m not sure I would have been either hearing all the shit that was being said to him Aj wins and snatched Zach’s goal from him, in Zach’s mind. Zach gets mad and acts up. Here comes the part you might not like to hear, I’ve seen worse crap happen in a locker room then what happened tonight. If that same match happens in the wrestling room, you get a push, a bit of talking and nothing else.
As I said I don’t condone what Aj did, but I kinda get it. Again, I’ve seen fights in almost every locker room I’ve been a part off. This is a combat sport and there are 30 people vying for 10 spots. Things like this happen.

As someone with family members who are addicts and I myself who has had some legal problems in the past, you don’t just give up on people. Help them learn and grow. This is about as embarrassing as a debut as AJ could have had but you guys having zero leeway is insane to me. He can still have his redemption.

I’ m sort of sure you aren’t saying what he did should just he over looked since he wasn’t technically wrestling for us yet? Tom was desperate and as you said it ended up being a terrible look for our program, wearing a hawk uniform or not.

Not at all correct. Very surgical based on the warhead size, strata and DTT, gravitational pull, wind/ weather/ etc. Stay in your lane.

I get he was amped up but for a guy who had done absolutely nothing so far his antics were a bit overboard.
All tonight showed was how desperate Tom is and how it has backfired and might hurt our program not energize it.
If Chittum was committed he would have signed on the dotted line. He didn’t. Why hang around for a year and not commit. Clearly something or someone was not ready to say yes. He was half in half out the entire time. If Anthony doesn’t sign I’d say it’s less than 50/50 he’s with us now.
Stall calls were warranted. You forgot about aj actions before glazier got pissed. You also forgot the finger to glazier and ref along with crowd. Close though
Just got the chance to actually watch this match. Woods looked great. Did damage early and then made sure he didn't lose...or let it get close. I'm ok with wrestling like this against the top tier guys. He looked much better here than he did in a couple of his earlier matches. Good work!
A little sad that I didn't get to be the first to point out that defcon levels increase in seriousness as they descend
