Does anyone still consider US the melting pot or the symbology of the Statute of Liberty? Its that we are the land of opportunity and a better place to raise your family. It doesn't matter your ethnicity, beliefs or nationality. I would be fine with opening up if properly vetted.

Are you suggesting we can be certain none of the Palestinians let in will be members of Hamas? How should we do that, just verify they aren't carrying their membership cards? Did you ever see the video of all the Palestinians cheering and celebrating when the planes were flown into the Twin Towers on 9/11? That video will never leave my mind.

They have. There are 2.4 million living just in Jordan. The issue currently is two fold. One, Jordan and Egypt are concerned that allowing the refugees will continue what they view as Egypt goal of eliminate all Palestinians living in Gaza. Obviously the Islamic nations have a different view as to who should be permitted to settle in this area. Second, a mass migration would likely include Hamas and they are not capable of vetting a mass migration. Thus, if Hamas begins to station attacks from Egypt and Jordan, Israel will attack and there will be a much wider war.
You think we can accurately vette them? Not to mention, Palestinians voted in Hamas as their leaders and a significant amount of Palestinians still support them.

Bringing in people whose homes have been left in rubble, you know seems reasonable don't you think. Hamas rules the area, but that doesn't mean all Palestinians want to destroy Isreal. Most just want a place to live and raise their family . . . you know kind of like me and you.
The violent hatred over there is well-earned on both sides.
It would be an interesting experiment to see how that might change if a large chunk of Palestinians were given the opportunity to put that behind them.
