The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

Sounds like a great plan

Tesla has abruptly fired the team running its electric vehicle charging business, raising doubts about the future of one of the largest US charging networks, which other carmakers, such as General Motors and Ford, have said they will also use.

So, encumber a bunch of Inflation Reduction Act/Infrastructure money from the US government, then slow-roll the project.

Seems like if this is the case, Biden should take the money back and award those grants/loans to someone else...

CATL promoting its 1000 km battery back. Elon going all in on Robotaxis. Circumstances change. Elon doesn’t F around.

Elon fired large number of Starlink management team when he thought they weren't moving fast enough. Two years later they are farther faster than anyone ever believed possible with the new team.

There is precedent for this move by Elon. One’s ignorance to his reasoning isn’t his problem.

PF is calling college kids Nazis and demanding they be deported. And his his man crush is busy reinstating a self proclaimed admirer of Adolf Hitler.

Plenty of dickheads from the Extreme Far Left have been reinstated and take pot shots at Elon daily. That’s freedom of speech.

Do you also criticize towns when they let KKK marches go on?

What kind of country do you want to live in?

Free? Then stay.

Not Free? Then maybe move to another country.

I'm reminded of that anytime you comment about Pakistanis.
Probably need to go two or three generations native born to start escaping the 'Old World' mindsets.
Pakistan is an artificial country created by the British. South Africa is an apartheid ridden shithole. Try again.

Apples and horseshoes comparison. Cities and Governments are bound by the First Ammendment.

Keep trying to defend Elon as he willingly platforms literal Nazis.

He alienates his primary buyer base and now Tesla employees are reaping the efforts. I doubt he gives two f’s.

There once was a time when Twitter would search out this type of intentional misinformation, remove it, and axe the accounts of the misinformers.

Not anymore; Twitter/X is now a disinformation platform by design...

Working as intended and working well I might add.

“Abstract

Community-based fact-checking is a promising approach to fact-check social media content at scale. However, an understanding of whether users trust community fact-checks is missing. Here, we presented n = 1810 Americans with 36 misleading and non-misleading social media posts and assessed their trust in different types of fact-checking interventions. Participants were randomly assigned to treatments where misleading content was either accompanied by simple (i.e., context-free) misinformation flags in different formats (expert flags or community flags), or by textual "community notes" explaining why the fact-checked post was misleading. Across both sides of the political spectrum, community notes were perceived as significantly more trustworthy than simple misinformation flags. Our results further suggest that the higher trustworthiness primarily stemmed from the context provided in community notes (i.e., fact-checking explanations) rather than generally higher trust towards community fact-checkers. Community notes also improved the identification of misleading posts. In sum, our work implies that context matters in fact-checking and that community notes might be an effective approach to mitigate trust issues with simple misinformation flags.“
