There are only a couple of guys who were important players who are back this year - a safety and a DE who was the 2nd best DE on the roster. Every important player from last year is in the NFL now

J-Trav. Just like Jimbo should have given millions to Dalvin Cook for his Texas A&M contract, Mike should give J-Trav millions for his new one…without Jordan Travis we likely have a different coach by now. Norvell’s record while here in games without him is Darrell Mudra like.
I am done watching for the year. Never did it in the dark 2017-2021 times or the Bowden decline but holy smokes, I am not watching this team and staff play anymore. By far my least favorite team ever and the coaches suck.
Let’s not get too crazy now. We made playoffs in 2014 and should have last year too at 13-0. We were 10-4 in 2022 and 10-3 in 2016, beating Oklahoma and Michigan (Orange Bowl) respectively in bowl games. 12-2 in 2012 winning Orange Bowl. Been a lot of success post Bowden. 2017-2021 sucked. And this is almost worse though.
Wait till next week when we’re home. If he trots DJ out there again it’s going to be ugly.

I've just about resigned myself to this fact.
So which is worse Nole fans, 12-0 left out of playoffs or 2-10 season?
2-10. We have a long history of good, competitive teams. Everyone has down season occasionally, but they sure as hell aren't enjoyable. Now, if that second win becomes Florida in the final game, then all is forgiven.

Losing gets easy and almost laughable at this point. Getting robbed last year was true pain. I think it caused an ego wound to Norvell too.
That is perhaps the biggest issue sadly. Both as a program, as boosters and as NIL, FSU majorly spent some money. Upgrading stadium, signed our supposed top tier coach to 10 year contract, and spent top 10 in NIL. Yet here we are losing to a bunch of teams with much much much smaller investments in football, coaching staffs and NIL.I don't like FSU sucking ass. Not cool man.

All of that is now in jeopardy based on this awful season and I worry about our financial success and future. The booster and NIL funds are at major risk. Yet we still are committed to huge coaching budget, dumping 265 million in stadium upgrade (that in itself is upsetting fans because it is lowering our capacity and longtime season ticket holders are feeling extorted by the new prices) and still need big NIL. I think our NIL is at risk. Add to this horribleness, it feels like we may be stuck in the ACC longer than we thought, getting a bit more money and makes our brand stumble when we needed it to be strong. It honestly feels like a curse was put on team in December 2023.

Well, bad calls are not why we lost that game.
No, but if they hadn’t jobbed us on that face mask, the game would have been respectable.

Yep. Critical time, only down 12, and getting ball back with the opportunity to cut it to 5. Once that call happened, the defense checked out.
I just can’t get over how bad this team is. It’s not (just) DJU. Receivers run terrible routes and can’t catch the ball. Seasoned lineman getting critical holding penalties. Confusion in the back half of the defense. D-line man taking plays off. Now special teams has joined in.
Talent has not been developed. There are no adjustments being made (schematically), and play calling is borderline inept. Team is rudderless, and that’s on Mike. Something just seems off with him. Was never full in on him, but this is far below what I expected his floor to be…and we’re stuck with it for the foreseeable future.
If we EVER give another one to a coach then we must have money hidden under Funk and Wagnall’s back porch.
And they don’t need my yearly pittance.
Through five games FSU is averaging 15.8 points per game (last night's performance was 16 including a safety gift from SMU). It's a miracle we beat Cal and we're not going to beat anybody else if we can't figure out a way to score more points.
