Our TEs are crazy slow compared to years past. Ostrenga and Lachey wont sniff the NFL. They can barely turn their hips without stumbling to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
Most people would be happy and excited to know their team has the ball coming out of halftime.

If he caught that in the field of play would it have been a catch and fumble. I don't think so.
That dump to Ostrenga was maybe 7 yards and McNamara can't deliver a ball he can catch cleanly, then make a move upfield. If Sullivan doesn't see time today, it proves Lester has zero control over which QB plays. No OC worth his salt leaves a proven, serviceable B1G starter on the bench when the starter is this bad.
Wow. I really didn't think we'd end up 3-9 or 4-8 this year, but it seems inevitable at this point.
Should have ruled it incomplete LIVE. The ball was stripped very quickly.
Think about this.... If that happens in the middle of the field.... Is it called a catch? 0% chance it is a catch in the middle of the field.

I feel bad for Higgins, Lachey and Johnson. This is one of the least talented teams I’ve seen. We can’t block, can’t catch, can’t cover, can’t throw and don’t tackle all that well

Iowa's OL having PTSD flashbacks to the last few years when they'd get overwhelmed trying to block 5 on 6-7 and failing miserably.
Every time they bring extra pressure our guys just go deer in the headlights and act more like traffic cones for the defenders to run by, than fat D1 offensive linemen.............

Yeah, they looked great run blocking for about a quarter.

They are playing in a 3 yard box so yeah they are getting chewed up because that ball will always be between the tackles or a flare to a slow receiver near the line of scrimmage.
If we only had a mobile qb from Northwestern...
