*****THE OFFICIAL IOWA VS MINNESOTA GAME THREAD*****

Waiting for all the usual geniuses to come and tell us how if we don't understand that trailing Minnesota at half is the best possible situation then we just don't understand football.

Caleb may be our best chance to get a game breaking play. But this seems like coaching malpractice, risking injury pointlessly.

Are some of you guys actually surprised by this?

Since the Iowa secondary is so bad this year, Parker isn’t going to have the luxury of playing base defense at all times. I doubt he changes a thing because change doesn’t happen at Iowa, but he’s going to have to change shit up and try to bring some pressure once in a while because the secondary won’t hold up.
Not at all. I wanted/want to be more optimistic though. I do think our O is a bit better than last year. Unfortunately, like you said, this isn't the same D as last year.

The offense is awful, but the defense also doesn't look very good.
Def been off against anyone with a pulse, don't get it, Schulte and x usually good but not now, way off.

WRs can't catch (maybe a guy that has never played the position in college shouldnt teach it at D1), Cade can only throw flat routes.

5-7 this year if CM stays at qb

I just don't get it. The young men on the offensive side of the ball all played HS football and everyone of those HS programs coached offensive football at level that was above of what Iowa is trying to do. You would figure that one out of every seven passing plays would work because no staff can beat that much football out of them. Yet here we are.

I hope Sullivan gets a shot in the 2nd half. Cade has 16 yards passing and -13 rushing.

Cade has 3 Yards net gain

Iowa football has made me so numb I may ask my no pics wife to kick me in the nuts just to see if I can still feel anything.
