***UNI vs Iowa Game Thread***

Jacobsen says that Wyatt Lohaus is back for this game after hobbling on a bad ankle for the past month. If he and Haldemann get hot from the three, in addition to Morgan's shooting, that is not a good sign. I hope we can pull this off but they have outside firepower we don't have (besides Jok). The Hawkeyes have got to guard the perimeter. Tip- off in a minute! UNI to early lead.

Was lovely watching those 4 giant deep BRICKS by UNI.... haha.... except for all the offensive rebounds

I'll have to post a little more informative posts than just ripping on UNI! Jok is hitting about everything he puts up, but isn't forcing. Pemsl was a force inside early, but quieted down the last 7-8 mins. Baer was doing his thing, great hustle plays and hitting a 3.
Good defense has continued since the ISU game. UNI has put up a bunch of bricks from 3. Iowa seems to have sped up the game for UNI. This isn't a typical UNI pace so far. Keep it up hawks!
Most every player has contributed something offensively. Defensively Iowa looks sharp with only a few lapses. The pace favors the Hawkeyes. UNI looks fatigued. Want to see more of Pemsl with the ball driving to the basket. After a fast start, Morgan has disappeared offensively. Chasing Jok around the court might have something to do with it.
Pemsl is a stud. I think his inside work gave Jok and Baer space to go off. Don't know that I've seen a better or smoother shooter than Jok at Iowa, going back to when I first watched Ronnie Lester's teams. He is starting to turn Gatenesque as a senior, fun to watch. Our defense isn't the greatest, but MUCH improved.
If Iowa had a real point gaurd Jok and all the shooters (I guess the all would be Moss,besides Jok) would be way more dangerous.. drive and kick!
Baer had an all around contribution in the first half. Came off the bench to create his own plays. Big factor.
