Wow! Just visited the buckyville message board, talk about hate for Iowa. I know all fans have teams they dislike but the personal attacks on players is sad. They need to get a life!
Fans have been scum bags for decades so that didn't really do anything. Just need to get put back in your place of being a doormat. It's not that complicated:

Yep, 55 year old dbag hero and I got into it, what a bunch of scum. The Wisconsin fans around us at the game were intolerable. The kid in front of us was doing everything he could to get punched in the throat, but I don't think anyone took him up on it
You couldn't be complaining about me because I, unfortunately, could not make the trip this year .Yep, 55 year old dbag hero and I got into it, what a bunch of scum.
Just went off on me, how crappy we are, pathetic, rubbing it in the final 2 minutes of the game. I kept saying it is not 1985 anymore and he didn't like that too much. Saying you were 0-18 in 1985 didn't like that either, I know you weren't but you sucked back then. It was fun stuff. We had an audience watching us go back and forth. You couldn't be complaining about me because I, unfortunately, could not make the trip this year .
You probably don't want to go into it in great detail, but I am interested in what happened .
Correct, I had to remind him he was in Iowa City and mentioned some lovely times are fans have had in Camp Randall from Wiscy fans. It was fun dealing with that guy, distracted me from our debacle. That's too bad. Friendly banter and team support doesn't bother me, but there is a line and obviously it was crossed. When I am in another teams facilities, I act like a guest. When I have visiting fans sitting next or around me (whether I am in Madison, IC or CF), I try my best to treat them as my guests.
Ummm Iowa is better than you guys. Deal with it.It's not that complicated:

This is old news. I've talked to many fan bases around the B1G over the years and pretty much there is general consensus that Wisconsin people are douche bags.
Ummm Iowa is better than you guys. Deal with it.
overgeneralize much?Wisconsin fans are the scum of the earth, and always have been.
Not a classy one in the entire bunch.
I think you are over generalizing. There are bad actors (whether by nature or temporarily due to over-embibing) in every fan base.
Not right now they aren't. We all just got to see it on TV last night.
Not according to Torbee he is on there a lot and says they like Iowa better than Iowa fans.Wow! Just visited the buckyville message board, talk about hate for Iowa. I know all fans have teams they dislike but the personal attacks on players is sad. They need to get a life!

Your POS fans in Carver last night were just unbearable. Hero 55 year old boy needed to get his ass kicked back to 1985 when Wiscy sucked donkey.I attended the game last night and I was berated with profanity all night long from the people behind me. I didn't engage with anyone, yet I couldn't clap for a made shot or good defense without some snark comment being made. Also, I've never heard more whining at a basketball game than last night, it was absolutely ridiculous. Iowa fans are notorious for being whiners though, so it makes sense I guess. End of rant.
As far as fanbases as a whole go, all are tolerable. We let a handful of fans form our opinions on the whole, which makes no sense. Both Wisconsin and Iowa are full of good people, much better than the assholes out east like Maryland. I've been to many Iowa-Wisconsin games over the years and have never seen our fans being problems, or Iowa fans being problems until last night. Funny how that works, you don't confront people and they won't confront you. You are the problem if you think a whole fanbase is bad.

He didn't need anything, you didn't have to confront him. You're no better than him if you chose to engage. That would make you a POS fan too, congrats.Your POS fans in Carver last night were just unbearable. Hero 55 year old boy needed to get his ass kicked back to 1985 when Wiscy sucked donkey.
1) I've never seen anybody throw stuff off of balconies in years of being on a Mifflin Streetyou have never seen your fanbase be a problem? Seriously? Look, I am not saying Iowa fans are saints by any means, but Wisconsin kids are known for throwing objects at fans from their balconies on Campus. It's practically a rite of passage in Madison.
The kid in front of us stood up after every three, put his hands in the air and motioned to "come here" like a parent would to a child. He was literally asking to be confronted. No one did the entire game, but I honestly thought someone was going to do it at some point. The kid also was snapchatting the special needs people seated behind the basket and laughing at them all night. He was truly a disgusting human that I would not have felt the least bit bad if he was decked.
I've been to hundreds of bball/football games the last 15 years. I've never seen anything close to what you describe. That includes 2 years living right across from camp randall.

2) You're proving my point about basing a judgement on a few fans. You had a problem with 3 fans, there were a couple hundred badger fans in the stands. I could complain about the people behind me dropping f bombs with kids ears all around and call your whole fanbase the scum of the earth, but I'm realistic and know that's not an accurate representation whatsoever.
Nobody here is arguing about whose fanbase is classier. Nobody here is saying that either fanbase doesn't have their bad eggs. Not one single badger fan that I know personally would be anything other than nice to you as long as you aren't being an asshole. Your fellow hawkeye fans, even ones who live in Madison, generally don't have a problem with our fans. That's all I have to say, as it seems you're about as stubborn and unreasonable as they come.look, I'm not trying to get into a pissing match about whose fanbase is better or classier than the other. I even made mention to that in my post earlier, but this "there are no problems with Wisconsin fans" idea is foolish. Hayden commented on it a few times in his years at Iowa that walking through the tunnel at Wisconsin was a nightmare. I have stopped going to Madison for games, and even Brewers games as fans in Wisconsin are just unbearable with the harassment. This isn't some image that other fan bases are just making up.
He turned around and started going off, so I am not going to not respond. He didn't need anything, you didn't have to confront him. You're no better than him if you chose to engage. That would make you a POS fan too, congrats.
