Iowa is keeping an eye on/ has interest in Brock Harding.
Kirk Speraw watched him play in a game in person on Jan 12, 2022.
Brock then visited Iowa for the Jan 13, 2022 Indiana game.
Owen Freeman seems to like him.
Brock has at least 7 offers now: Loyola-Chicago, Western Illinois, SE Missouri State, Illinois State, Drake, Colorado State and Bradley.
Thanks for the link. He reminds me of Fredricks. He looks like a natural 2G. If we were to add Pryce and Friedrichsen we'd be taking our 2G to the next level. Fran has done great with the Big's. IMO to get to the next level we need our guards to step up to a similar level. I think Bowen is a good start.
I am really kind of hoping we offer Harding. Seems like he would be a really good complimentary player.

He's not walking on anywhere.Brock Hardy looks really quick with the dribble but I don't think his skills translate well measured against Big Ten competition, hence is offer list. The league is stacked with quick guards who can defend him and at 6ft0 155 lbs would likely be a matchup liability on defense. Maybe he would walk-on?
I would like to see Fran move more in the direction of recruiting guards in the same mold as Perkins.
Good for him. Makes sense to take the scholarship offer at Illinois State or wherever and maybe play his way into a bigger program in a few years. He's not walking on anywhere.

But much quickerJ-Bo clone.
More Bowen Born maybe? Really quick and skilled, but small. Will likely excel at the appropriate level.J-Bo clone.
Not even the same type of player as J-Bo. He's closer to 5-10 than 6-0 and thin framed. Really hope Iowa does not offer him.J-Bo clone.
Was Owen Freeman the only one playing?
Nevertheless, look who showed up.
He picked up an offer from Notre Dame this morning as well.
I have updated the orig post.
Iowa offered Carey Booth today. This is the 23rd offer Fran has made for the 2023 class.
Rivals shows that he has 4 other offers: Georgetown, Minnesota, Penn State and San Francisco.
His dad is the general manager of the Nuggets and played for Penn State.I have updated the orig post.

I take it Taylor Bowen is the younger brother of Desonte?Recruiting is all about relationships and connections.
Iowa has offered Matas Buzelis, Reid Ducharme, Aaron Clark and Taylor Bowen. All FOUR attend the same high school (Brewster Academy) as 2022 commit Dasonte Bowen.
Don’t believe so….I take it Taylor Bowen is the younger brother of Desonte?

Thanks for the clarification.No.
Taylor is the son of refugees, born in a refugee camp. His parents fled the South Sudanese war and he was born in Egypt in a refugee camp; his family moved to the U.S. a few months after he was born.
