BTW with Thelwell a one year rental Fran is going to need to hit the portal again next year.
I would like to get 2 guards in 2025, and so far zip. With the portal, it is hard to predict anything, except that Iowa doesn't have a lot of NIL $$.

2026 4-star guard Gabe Sularski visited Iowa for their Monday night game this week. He discussed the trip with me.
The No. 113 prospect with international experience, Sularski would be an excellent get for the Hawkeyes.

The No. 113 prospect in the country, Gabe Sularski is a talented, big guard -- and he likes the Hawkeyes.
I find this fascinating and I would imagine Will committing would bum a lot of Iowa fans out. Will is an excellent high school player. Great hands and feet, does most of his work in the paint, finishes with both hands (he’s a lefty), and has really nice touch. He has expanded his game outside the paint and I think by the time he gets to college he will be a plus shooter for a big. He’s a good athlete but not one that pops off the screen. Defensively, he’s a good shot blocker but needs to get stronger. Comes from a great family and from what I have been told has surpassed 6’8” although I haven’t gone down on the floor with a tape measure to verify that. Just my two pennys.
If he adds a lot of weight and doesn’t get pushed around in the next level. Think most will be good with him. His dad looks well built. That’s a plus. Know anything about his work ethic. Since you are a townie.
His dad was a really good player although I can only base it off rec league level stuff. No clue about his work ethic and I’m pretty fvcking far away from being a townie.
