Big series in Iowa City this weekend. Iowa can’t afford to get swept, you start 0-6 in conference play and you have to win every other conference series 2-1 just to go 12-12. Weather may play a factor as well. Friday has been pushed up to 4pm.

Iowa beats Illinois 8-4 today for a big win. Iowa scores four runs in the bottom 8th with two outs. Illinois intentionally walked Ben Norman to load them up and face Chris Whelan. That would’ve been unheard of the last two years. Well Whelan also gets walked to get Iowa ahead and the flood gates opened. Maybe stealing one against Bradley is what Iowa needed to turn it around.

1,001 was the attendance today on a 36 degree day which is impressive.

Yes for sure. Not many runs scored, difficult to do in the cold and wind. If you would have said 2 weeks ago Iowa would go 3-3 against Indiana and Illinois, I say take that. Difficult way to get there. Not a bad spot to be in after 2 weekends against perhaps the best 2 teams in the league.
