One major thing I noticed during this thread and the footage and post footage. At no point and I could have missed it but did Juwan apologize, say he was wrong, this isn't how a D1 coach acts, etc? It's very telling if he hasn't and simply a major character flaw to continually blame others, accept zero responsibility and/or accountability especially for a person of his statue as a coach of young men.

Makes no difference at all. Maybe Gard should have just let him blow by, but Howard escalated the situation at every opportunity. He started with the aggressive talk. He grabbed Gard's shirt. He waved his finger in Gard's face. He returned to the confrontation to hit the Wisconsin assistant coach. Maybe Gard deserves a strongly worded letter from the Big Ten and a bit of friendly advice from the AD, but Howard deserves to be fired.
Did you see the ESPN story I posted? He definitely is blaming a person from Wisconsin for escalating the situation. He never takes responsibility for the fact that actually it was him who escalated the situation.
I get what you are saying here but there are like what 9 cameras on the game at all times? They can review this at any time. Davison should be banned as he's a danger out there.
I just find it sad that the Big Ten will be coming down hard on Coach Howard, which they should, yet they have enabled Brad Davison over the last five plus years. It's a joke.
Knowing Kevin Warren, Gard will be the one suspended.
I dislike Davison as much as anyone, but I don't think these are comparable situations.
A HC starting a brawl needs to be severely punished.
The officials should select a specific game and then just ride Davison like the little bitch that he is,.. guaranteed foul out with flagrants anywhere they come close to applying.
This really shouldn't devolve into whataboutism. A dirty player and a coach striking another coach are two totally different things. Howard doesn't get a pass because Davison is a scumbag.
Michigan should have let them inbound the ball and run out the clock.
It will be interesting to see what Michigan does with a Michigan Man. Ultimately the ball is in their court, the big ten can only do so much.
Decourcy (sp?) from the big ten network said it best. If Howard was coaching his guys to the last second by pressing, he should expect the opposing coach to coach his players as well. There is no simpler truth than that.
Davidson’s antics are much worse imo. Davidson cheap shots players in vulnerable situations which could cause major injury. Howard palmed a guys head.
All I am saying is, the Big Ten will be reviewing video of this game.
Should Coach Howard be suspended? Absolutely.
Should Brad Davison be suspended for the following?
(1) tripping during this game;
(2) elbowing Dickinson in the the ribs on a screen during this game;
(3) nut punching Dickinson during a screen during this game and
(4) his history of dirty play over the last 5 plus years

I also don't think open bitch slap or closed knuckle makes a difference. His actions put players in danger. His action to swing caused his players to erupt. Lucky on all accounts it didn't get way out of hand but that fire was lit and Howard ignited it. I believe with last years episode in MD as consideration he will get fired
Nobody said that Coach Howard and Brad Davison's actions were the same. What we are saying is, based on the actions of both during this game, the league should hand out lengthy suspensions to both Coach Howard and Brad Davison.
Suspensions should also be handed out to any player who threw a punch, of course

Davison has deserved a suspension for a very long time, but that's not what this thread is about. There have been enough threads dedicated to how dirty Davison is. A thread about the head coach of a Big Ten team initiating a fight after a game should remain on topic. We all know that Brad Davison is the second coming of Grayson Allen but who was the last head coach to take a swing at an opposing coach?
Howard should be gone. Gard should be suspended a game.
Krabbenhoft should also be suspended for coming in hot and pushing an opposing player, that too was uncalled for.
Diabate and Neath throwing punches should both be suspended for 2 games.
Davison and Davis standing on the outside and talking sh*t after Michigan walked off the court, should be kicked in their giant pu$$ies repeatedly by Franisdaman.

After the B1G reviews the video from this game, the following should be suspended, imo:
1) Coach Howard
2) Anyone who threw a punch (2 Michigan players, 1 Wisconsin player)
3) Brad Davison

No, Howard struck the guy....plain and simple. Cannot be tolerated, if the commissioner doesn't hand out the max fine & penalty then there is something wrong. If Michigan had the balls they would fire Howard, but I doubt they will.
Along those lines the commissioner better be checking the tape on the Wisconsin coaching actions and Davision, none of that belongs in college basketball either.

I'd add Gard, who should not have grabbed Howard after he had already passed him in the line. I'd also add the assistant who was doing that stupid hip check (taunting) and the assistant who charged at Howard. I get most of this comes back on Howard, who should have to pay the consequences, but the message needs to be sent that any of these actions are not allowed, especially in coaching who are the ones who should be setting the example for their players.

Davison was taunting but most of it was as the Michigan players were leaving the court. But the tape needs to be reviewed for Davison's actions during the game.
