Why even watch if they don’t allow fans it weakens the game.
I cannot imagine being back on that campus right now.. a month of not having to go to class?! I get students will still have the same responsibilities, but that's a huge difference.. walking your ass to class in the bitter cold just to rake in those attendance points & ensure you don't miss out on any easy grades was the reason I graduated.. I'd be at Joe's and Dublin everyday / night if I was still a student. Phew!
Cripes. Sure looks like I won't be attend the NCAA wrestling championships at this rate.

I'll repeat the one thing that should be clear. Listen to the medical experts, NOT politicians or those who are so emotionally invested in either hating the president OR supporting him no matter what he says or does.
Those saying that we understand this virus are wrong. Death rates or even certainty on the limits of how it can spread are uncertain. Also, although you might be young, healthy, and probably at a low risk for serious symptoms, you put others at risk by not following the instructions of the medical experts. You might not die or even get sick, but you might carry the virus to others (including loved ones) who are more at risk.
So, stop with the political bullshit on both sides, and follow the directions of the experts. Disclaimer, I am trying very hard to keep this balanced, although I think the leadership in this country dropped the ball for a month or two, when we could have been preparing.

You forgot the part about mortality dropping to 1 from the previous 3-6 range. Will continue to drop as more cases areidentified. Filter out the 75+ and you got nothing more to worry about than any other year. Other than watching cnn.

During a one year period in 2009-10, 12,700 died of the swine flu, another pandemic that swept the globe. This was during the Obama administration. I don’t recall outrage from republicans over the administrations response. Rather, a more unified effort at control. In times of crisis, shouldn’t we be working together? What the Democrats are doing, along with the media that they control, is despicable. They place party above country, no surprise when you have a Marxist in contention for their party’s presidential nomination.

While I agree to a point, lets be honest here. As much as we all love the games, there non essential entertainment. Yes I realize that many folks will lose a lot of money without the crowds. Their suggesting people just work from home. Like me, millions of people work in on site retail jobs. There's no sitting at home, and working on your computer. Much bigger deal then no fans at the tourney for a lot more people.
Exactly! This virus is a classic case of "we don't know what we don't know." No one regardless of age etc.should take it lightly.
Perhaps you can detail Trumps selfish wants, desires, blah,blah. He was lauded by the CDC chairman for the travel ban from China and the dem’s called him racist. They play the same card over and over. Just like you. What I said was we should be unified on this and the democrats are incapable of that. Pretty clear.

I'm sure Trump is glad that you're as dumb as you are, like his millions of other useful idiots. Your man-crush was recklessly critical of Obama during the H1N1 crisis, as well as Ebola. Both of those situations were handled exponentially better than how coronavirus has been, which is why there was less political fallout overall.
Unified? Sounds like you just think everyone should agree with Trump's cavalier attitude toward this crisis, where he has been wrong at every turn yet blames everyone else and pats himself on the back, declaring himself a natural epidemiologist.
Political scientists have ranked Trump's presidency easily in the bottom 5 in history, and that was BEFORE this coronavirus and economy mess. He will go down as the worst president to ever serve. I am just so glad that it will be over in 8 months and I can live my life knowing that I never supported him in any way, shape or form.

In case that math still escapes you, 1 in 4 people who are either old, are asthmatics, smoke, have some other immune limitation like a transplant patient or other cardiovascular disease WILL die. 1-in-4.
That's because the administration's response was actually out in front of the WHO pandemic declaration. They actually did a good job of it.
