As a seventy year old I have to respect the risk we are all facing. Basketball is just a game and this could be a death sentence for many of my peers. Having had a heart attack and enjoying 11 pills each morning my odds might not be as good as the young posters on here who believe they’ll live forever. Prayers for those who are suffering.
All that said if this turns into a worst case scenario this might lead to social security being solvent for a few more years.

Political Science departments are overwhelmingly liberal. That some don’t like Trump is meaningless. Trump’s attitude has not been cavalier. Guess you and your superior intellect will be voting for Joe Biden, who apparently has left half of his brain somewhere along the campaign trail. Looking forward to his debate with Bernie the Red. Hope Joe doesn’t get lost on the way.

I don’t play any card because I’m not beholden to a “party” like you. I vote Republican, I vote Democrat, I vote Libertarian, I vote Independent, etc. I vote regardless of party based on my beliefs and who I feel is the best candidate and by using common sense.
That’s what smart and coherent people do. They use their minds and think for themselves. They don’t vote for who people tell them they should vote for because, “ah shucks, I be voting for Trump because he’s a Republican which means he loves ‘Merica and God must love him and them damn libtards are a bunch of commies and Fake News and Snowflakes and blah blah blah whatever Fox News tells me to think”.

For the Coronavirus and issues around it alone he blames Congress, he blames Governors, he blames Europe, he blames the Federal Reserve, he blames the News, and on and on - a real unified approach. Point fingers at everyone but take zero responsibility. I guarantee you you wouldn’t have a problem pointing out if Ferentz or McCaffret or anyone else was throwing their team under the bus constantly and taking no responsibility, yet you are fine with Trump blaming others for everything that happens. Trump won’t acknowledge or take any responsibility for downplaying the virus so that it wouldn’t have an affect on the economy and hurt his re-election. Or cutting CDC budget and how that has caused issues. Or lying about available tests. And so forth and so forth.

There was nothing in Trump's proposed ban that would keep someone who is infected from traveling from a banned country via a non-banned country, i.e., someone from France could just hop on a train to England then fly here. The ban itself is pretty useless.

I've been tracking it since the March 1 numbers; >30% increase per day, which gets really really ugly by the end of March.
Even with social distancing mitigations, there will be about a 2 week time-lag to where you'll really see much effect, so March numbers are gonna be mostly locked in. Upwards of 200k-250k cases. I see no likelihood we can keep things <100k right now at the current rate of increase.

Yep, it's always someone else's fault with Trump - the Democrats, the Media, The States and Governors, THE PEOPLE THAT HE HIRED AND WORK FOR HIM ... everyone but himself.

As for calling it a hoax, no disputing many (Democrats & Republicans alike) across the country were criticizing him when he initiated the travel ban & were saying into March we should be more concerned with the flu than covid 19...which in a sense was like calling the threat of covid 19 a hoax themselves. Trump putting on the travel ban proves he was taking the threat seriously at a time when others on both side were not. He used the critical time gained from travel ban to expedite overhauling our infectious disease testing system to make testing on a large scale possible. It has come a very long way in record time. Thank God he had the foresight not to believe what was being reported out of China & WHO. Everyone on the “Front Lines & Those Working Diligently Behind The Scenes” deserve our gratitude for the job they have done & continue to do. Has everyone done a “Perfect Job”...no, but they have done extraordinarily well under the circumstances.
We have two candidates to choose from in the upcoming election...one has proven to put “America First” while the other candidate has proven he likes to put “His Family’s Wealth First” at the expense of our our great nation.
Now let’s put politics aside & get back to talking “Basketball”.

Trump & his family have lost more financially by him becoming president than likely any president in history from restrictions put upon him & busnesses for fear of conflict of interests, along with all the “Undeserving Hate” spread by the media & many Democrats. A president who “Donates” his $400,000 annual salary to government agencies exemplifies country “Before” family.
