I’m glad you enjoyed his time at Iowa.He missed six games as a freshman and four as a sophomore. CJ started and averaged 26.6 mpg in 84% of the games he was at Iowa. I don’t think “rarely available” is an accurate description of these numbers.
I’ve learned that minutes per game can be a misleading stat. It’s what you do during those minutes that makes a difference to me.
There’s a 20+ minute a game guy on the team now. He’s had “a few” pretty good games in his career. Sadly, a majority of them haven’t been but his PT hasn’t declined much at all over the years and he’s averaged 8.4 ppg, 3.2 rb. I’m not warm and fuzzy about his game either.
Playing hurt reduces your ability to produce on both ends of the court. It would have nice to have a healthy CJ at Iowa. Maybe I would have a more positive assessment of his time here. He just never moved the needle for me.
