Defense is effing pitiful. I think the boys are maybe a bit bored with these cupcakes and just not with it tonight.
Not gonna lose but this is your team with BE at the point to be honest! Again it's not a knock on him it's just a lack of movement intensity defensive communication and continuity

Brady had a heck of a time in the final half court set getting by his guy with the dribble. That's not going to work.
I'll also say I cannot stand Frans end of half / end of game set with 4 guys just out of the lane standing around. Clear it out and get some freaking movement!!!!!!

I fear what we see on defense (or don't see) is what we're going to get until sometime during the heart of the season with stiffer competition. The kids need some Big Ten caliber teams to really expose their glaring defects. I think mentality might have a lot to do with it as well because knowing you are playing a "cupcake team" and skating away with wins in the end doesn't strike fear into players like a conference loss would.
Agree it feels like upset and if that happens might as well call the season over.
We are going to lose early in the Caymans. I'm just trying to figure out it it's to Louisiana Lafayette or SDSU. Not impressed with our overall team and the lack of quickness out front especially at PG. Every set is watching the other team drive right by us and then one colossal help rotation mess that leaves someone wide open or a driving layup. Our bigs can't block every shot.
Then we way over-hedge with our big men out front. Stop that too please! It's a stupid foul or we end up way out of position leading to an easy basket.

They actually had a pretty good set up because the alley oop was wide open. Cook effed it up with the foul.
It's always a cluster. Rarely do we get any good looks out of it. Run the offense and get some motion or clear the freak out. You give the defense a break the last 15-20 seconds. Why?
I'm not bothered by the lackluster performance. Hard to get up for 3 of these games in a row.. I'm worried about not having a PG in the Caymans! Loss to cincy is fine but Iowa has to win those first two..
This team needs an athletic combo2 or PG with quicks to be able to get to rim and guard . Brady is 3pt shooting specialist with limited defensive skills and I applaud his effort, but it is he is not well suited for PG. Lots of choices of Tall lineups, but not many options to match up with 3 guard teams.
