Hey Morons, yes you

seems like a good number of posters are unaware that if you take more risks... then you increase the likelihood of turning the ball over and that mistake could cost you the game.

when you are ahead 3 scores... it's not smart to take risks.

Iowa played this game perfectly

Totally agree, and the stats back it up at 63-2 when up 8 points or more in any game. I just can't help but think we could have been Clemson 2.0 and made a couple playoffs if we had an average offense and a solid running game.

Thanks for proving your ignorance, no one else try’s to control the game and time of possession like KF, so obviously our OFF stats are lacking, bc our possession are lacking by design. Thats the entire plan foo!! Go look at all the teams we play and their TOP, PTs scored, etc.. it’s the game plan being executed. They don’t put up the stats against us either like they do against other teams. U really don’t get it do u?
Please tell how KF, or BF, controls time of possession by having a weak offense. When one is in 3rd and long and punts as much as Iowa I don’t see where they’re controlling anything. Face it, without Parker, Iowa is at the bottom of the conference and both Brian and Kirk would both be gone. Iowa’s defense is why our record is what it is.

I question many on here about their knowledge of the game of football. All you morons think if you win with great def and avg off it’s somehow less of a win then if you have a great off and avg def. I mean are you all really that dumb? Do you not understand that the final score, no matter how it’s done, determines the winner? I mean seriously how fking dumb does one have to be to infer a win is less of a win if it’s done with great Def vs great OFF. Are you all really that stupid?? But then you call out a coach who will go down as the greatest in the history of Iowa football, and his son who played and coached both in the NFL and Power 5. You dumbasses who work some 8-5 sales job think you know more because you were 2nd team all conference at some 8 man fball team in Iowa.

Seriously, get a fking clue about the game of football. Let me help you there are 3 key phases, OFF, DEF, and Special Teams. It doesn’t matter which of these 3 determine the outcome of a game, you still either win or lose based on the final score, and get the stat in the win or loss column from it, u friggin morons.

It’s still mesmerizing that you fools haven’t noticed the genius behind how KF wins at Iowa, and way above what the realistic expectations should be. With the huge recruiting obstacles of being a state with no nfl team, the smallest population base, corn fields as the pride of playgrounds in the state, and shitty cold ass winters, y’all think he should complete for the top OFF talents like the fools you are. Sorry peeps, how bout you vacation outside of going to the fking Amanas for Christmas and see what kids from other states see when they go on recruiting trips elsewhere. Oh yeah, Iowa City is special, no doubt, but it’s not the only fking awesome college town and game day experience in the game.

KF has a formula that works waaay above what any should at Iowa. He’s knows he could never win consistently trying to focus on scoring points and OFF recruiting focus. Go ask the savior y’all so badly loved early in in Lames, now what, how’s the OFF powerhouse program doing?? He’s just another ISU coach doing below average shit in Lames which is better then what they should be doing, so enjoy just below average in Lames bc it really should be a program that competes with RICE and that’s about it.

KF knows he’s beat if he lines up his OFF against most others, so what does he do? He controlls the number of OFF possessions by making team eat up clock and make long tiring drives to score points with his bend don’t break style of D. And on top of that it’s hard for college age kids to stay patient and not mistakes along the way in Doug so, hence all of our turnover successes.

Offensively he runs the ball and the clock and again shortens the games, the number of possessions opponents get and at the end of the day bets on his DEF being better than the other teams OFF. What’s so fin wrong with that? Other than y’all don’t get to stroke yourselves more during the game bc of OFF touchdowns.

How dumb would it be for KF to have a forced focus of scoring quickly to satisfy you blowhard fans, meanwhile allowing more possessions and wearing out his DEF who he relays on executing every play. Not to mention most programs are going to have better OFF talent to score points. But truly there are some fools on here that would probably be happier with more points and less wins.

Not only has KF done more for the state of Iowa and Iowa football, putting the program on the map and known in the national sports media, he is respected more by the NFL than any other coach in college football, possibly as much as a couple others, but no one has a better reputation of developing kids in the game of football period, and all the facts and numbers are there to support that statement, to include statements from coaches, owners, front office people in the NFL.

So why not get on this bandwagon of supporting the spectacular DEF he puts out there yr in and yr out, understand why the scores are lower, and appreciate what could be and I predict will be, the best 20 some yrs of football to ever be played at Iowa.

Not to mention if Maybe, just maybe, y’all supported the kids and coaches instead being in there Heads’s bout how bad it is, bc we know they read it, they would play with a tad bit more confidence, free of worry, and score just a few more pints along the way to get us over the hump and into a CFP game or 2. Or go do yourselves a favor and watch a different team or sport, maybe Americas favorite past time, baseball… yeah cause that’s just a OFF fking delight type of game you hypocrites!

Again, u just don’t get it. It’s the philosophy, just like Clemson wanting to score 50+, it doesn’t always happen. And if we tried to play fast, not run the ball, limit the clocks time, it would give other teams even more possessions, and keep our D on the field even more. We are not a school that can recruit the OFF players who would make us an OFF power house, thus pro style, run the ball, shorten the game is the philosophy and it fits the program perfectly. No one is saying it works out every game and we have certainly won other ways, but the overall Philosophy is to shorten the game, by running the ball and playing consistent defense that forces college kids to establish long drives to score. Please comprehend this.

You don’t get it. The ability to run the ball is how teams control TOP and it’s something Iowa hasn’t been able to do on a consistent basis. For gods sake Kilroy stop posting.

I don't think you understand. I'm not asking Iowa to play faster. And I don't think most people on here are either. We ran 45 plays Saturday. And we ran less plays than Utah St by a large margin. 45 plays. And 6 punts for a total of 51. How much time are we using on our continual 3 and outs? We only had 9 first downs in what, 10 possessions? People aren't asking us to become an air raid offense. I"m hoping that Cade continues to get healthier and more comfortable in the offense. He looks so much more comfortable in the pocket than Petras. Even when Cade is going 12-23 I still felt that the next pass was going to be on target,

OP calls us morons. But does he even know the difference between a shuffle pass and a 3-snap read? I doubt it.

Oh yeah tough guy? Well I got something for you to think about...

TLDR.

Dearest Moron - you do realize that with an above average (70's rated) offense and our always top 20 rated defense, that we would be competing for a BIG championship nearly every year? Or you, moron, are simply satisified with average...

You only need to look at the first half of last game and see how fxcked up the offense is by Kirk using all 3 timeouts because we can't even get the play calls in on time. He takes a timeout and after time to think about it they run a dive up the middle for zero yards and turn over the ball. Brian is clueless, and Soaker, tell us how many snaps he got in the NFL and tell us how many months he was an assistant for New England as a favor to daddy.

Then the offense, like usual goes into a shell for the second half because Kirk doesn't want to turn the ball over and we win ugly once again thanks to our defense. This is why Iowa Football is a laughingstock for it's style of play. It is boring as hell. Iowa rarely wins a game against a top 20 team and the Big10 West sucks EVERY year including this year. We beat cupcakes and average to mediocre teams. Kirk has made about 100 million at Iowa doing this and Iowa fans have to get drunk to enjoy the shitshow.

When was the last time Iowa won the Big 10 Championship outright and wouldn't it be fun to do so much more often because we never will with a horseshit offense.

You have no way of knowing who knows and those who don't know more than you about football. I, like many on here know a great deal about football and know Iowa has a damn good defense most years and has one of the worst offenses currently due to play calling and bad offensive lines recently. Recruiting and coaching needs to improve significantly for the offense. The Head Coach and the Offensive Coordinator are responsible for both and they have the same last name.

If you want to call someone a Moron, just look in the mirror. You are dilusional if you think you are smarter than everyone on here.

I’m sorrry but in general, running the ball, no matter how successful or not, will shorten a game more than a passing attack, my god are you that ignorant? Just quit watching bc u really have no clue.

I’m the moron, but you’re the one who speaks like winning the BIG outright is just something any moron like yourself could do at Iowa. You can wish hope and pray all you want but any expert knows KF has done nothing short of a huge overachievement during his tenure at the helm. Go fking root for bama, you’re a blowhard bandwagon fan anyways.

.. play calling?? Again this shows how ignorant you are. So the open crossing TEs that would have been wide open for 7 was a bad call?? The double move route that Seth ran and was open for a 91 yard TD was a bad play call?? The several other open targets missed a tad by CM who is still recovering / struggling from surgery related leg strength is a bad play call by BF?? Not to mention the fact that they are trying to protect him for a season long run? Do you even watch the games or just pick up the stat log? JFC, get a clue of what’s going on!

Such a moronic comment… as if KF is purposefully just garnering an avg stat OFF.. how dumb are you? And why aren’t you out dialing up some 5star OFF recruits since it’s so easy. Can u comprehend?? You’re just proving my point there clulesss.

You’re so old school. The whole so called West Coast passing game that started 40 years ago with short easy passes is another way to use clock. In a lot of ways it’s just like a run. Quick short passes and try outflank the defense. And if you have enough 4-5 yard passes it eats up the clock and wears down the defense. Utah St was actually a good example of that. They ran a ton of plays but we have enough players to combat it. You don’t just run the ball to run it for no reason. And 3 runs for 8 yards takes about 130 off the clock and then the punt. That’s not exactly helping the defense rest.

I always thought that winning was more important than stats.
Of course it is. Look at the bolded statements I was referring to. It's simply crazy talk. At some point the offense will have to carry some of the load. People who argue that there are 3 phases to the game while simultaneously arguing that offensive efficiency isn't important aren't thinking logically. It's not like we haven't seen this show before. The defense and special teams can't win every game, especially against higher level competition. And besides, the guy's an asshole.

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I really do think the 6-4 game is one of my all time favorites. Sure, also because we won it. But in its own way, a true thing of beauty.

For YEARS I have tried telling football-challenged posters like soaker that: a great defense and special teams is fine....but there will be games when the offense is going to HAVE to score points. There will be games were the offense will HAVE to get a first down or two to lock down a win. There will be games where the team will be behind and the offense will HAVE to get a score in the final minutes to win/tie. For the past couple of seasons the Iowa offense has not been capable of doing any of those on a consistent basis.

They just can't seem to grasp that concept. I swear they would rather leave wins on the table than for any changes be made,

Case in point. A week from Saturday night in State College. And another thing is we aren’t used to seeing iowa get blown out in games. It used to happen maybe like once every two years. It happened five teams between 2021 and 2022!

I like what Bill Belichick said:

"stats are for losers."

and all you dummies that hate the Hawkeyes players for not scoring enough points are losers.
How’s Belicheck done without Brady at Cleveland and now New England? The answer is not very well. If you think he’s beating Mahomes, Josh Allen, (who has just killed him by the way) or any team with a good offense without skill players and winning 17-14 isn’t happening either. He had the greatest QB of all time.

I like what Bill Belichick said:

"stats are for losers."

and all you dummies that hate the Hawkeyes players for not scoring enough points are losers.
Who, on any of these forums has said they "hate" any player for not scoring enough points? We will all wait.

KF for life, azzholes!!
Is that you Brian
