Hurricane season has arrived....

Coworker just said the power is out in Wesley Chapel.

I'm surprised, that isonly 29 miles from me and there hasn't been much of anything here. A couple of rain squall, and the wind has picked up a bit over the last hour, but so far nothing as bad as a summer storm. Had to just be a branch taking out a line tha feeds that immediate area.
 
The entire state (except for Lower Alabama) is now covered in NHC burnt orange....

Where you at? Still not getting much? It’s really starting to intensify here in T.I.

We’ve had two tornado warnings here but no reports of any damages. Just now had a very strong rain and wind band come through.

I am in Dade City, about 35 to 40 miles north of Tampa, straight up I-75.

It is inland a bit, but not any more than Wesley Chapel, which Trad mentioned in his post

Gotcha, Delgado just said it’s pretty much only gonna effect the coast, so if you’re inland that explains why maybe.

A NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft currently investigating Helene
recently found that the maximum sustained winds have increased to
130 mph (215 km/h). The minimum central pressure has also decreased
to 947 mb (27.96 inches) based on dropsonde data.
