In response to the Katrina comment, I invited a compare and contrast moment between what Bush was accused of not doing vs. what Biden is currently not doing.

FEMA is already onsite working. Have not heard a single word from Biden that he'll help out "but first you have to do something for me". Or anything at all about "because these are Republican states, they can fix themselves" as in "why don't they get out some mops to soak up the water?".

Lot of slow leaking news out of mountains of NC that things are really really bad. Basically, due to floods, roads and bridges making access impossible and with cell communications being down, there is a lot of smoke it is a catastrophe ( whole towns gone with many dead and missing) and the news is not covering it since true magnitude not yet realized.
Not to be crass or a dumbass, but how the F do you recover from that? Both as an individual, as a family, as a community, etc. What do you do?
