Just the fact that BF goes vertical with the passing game makes him light years ahead of GD's horizontal passing game. Stanley has been having some trouble connecting with the receivers, but still.

Going vertical with a QB that can’t connect on vertical routes doesn’t really help that much. It hasn’t opened up the box yet because the defense knows that Iowa is not a deep threat.

Iowa is on pace for about 500 yards of offense, 34 points, and have had two turnovers inside the redzone (one fumble, one TO on downs).

The offensive play calling is not an issue today.

Did the announcer just say this is a "heck of a ball game"? What game is he watching??? Both of these teams are terrible. Mistakes, turnovers, missed tackles, and bad throws by both teams. No flow at all, no tempo. Two teams playing like B10 bottom feeders. This is the type of game I expect when the Illini play Rutgers. Iowa?
