Tru dat. Indiana got huge help in the portal. Iowa got Molly Davis.
Molly. I get she was a scorer from wherever she came from but I have at seen it here. She’s been the beneficiary of a lot of wide open looks and just never seems to hit them.
She is 12-22 against the small schools on our schedule which skews her season 3pt%.
Not sure I'd say huge help. Parrish and Scalia are their 5th and 6th most important players. I think Garzon was their big find, but she's a freshman.
I really enjoy watching the passing and movement in the iowa women’s game.
They just look like they are having more fun than the boys. Coaches are not divas, fewer tv timeouts
All 5 starters returned. Not sure who you could have gotten under those circumstances
Parrish is IU’s 3rd leading scorer in conference play, at over 12 a game. That is huge help from the portal.
Between her and Marshall, that's quite the offensive black hole.
Doing just enough to keep Indiana from getting over the hump. Be nice to see Iowa get a run going here.

Looks like they're trying to keep the 2nd ranked team close in this one while they're struggling to make shots.
Well let's see.... a 6 vs 2 matchup while men are unranked, trying to keep that 2 seed, nation's top player, and gameday being there are pretty big factors. This is the most attention and exposure the women have ever gotten and season tix being 1/3 the price of men probably have a lot to do with it. I'm guessing single game tix are cheaper too
It's also pretty helpful that there's no one and done in women's so CC is forced to stick around, would be very different if she was gone. I think the men's crowds have been solid for a team that has been unranked pretty much all year but it's pretty cool to see this kind of crowd and interest in hawk women this year. Need to win this
Czinano with a tendency to rush her shots more than usual this year. Not really setting herself/establishing her base, and just quick turn and chuck it towards the hoop.......do better than that.
Lazy defense, quick shots, and missing wide open 3s equals closer ball game than it needs to be.........
Can we just pull away! Every time we get up 7 or 9 or whatever, Indiana just comes right back.
I was hoping when Indiana couldn't hit a shot early in the 3rd that Iowa could go on a run. They had good looks at several shots, but couldn't get them to go down.
And as I say that, Indiana committing more bodies to offensive rebounding on long shots.......
