Iowa at Mn PBP thread

At 5'7", maybe he's a 141?

Gabe is built like a brick house, and I think he'll be a stud at 174. I think 174 is where he needs to be in order to achieve his dream of a national title. As strong as Gabe is, it's going to be dam tough for him to score on the top 184 guys that have a couple inches of height on him and actually need to cut weight to get to 184. 10 lbs. difference in weight class is significant.

Pretty sure I responded to one of your comments earlier in the week stating Gabe would likely get majored last night. I didn't see it, Gabe is too tough......and I was right. You don't seem to be much of a fan of Gabe, and I'm not understanding why. He's a great kid and wrestler who I think is wrestling up a weight class this year for the team and is a top 10 caliber guy.

I see Gabe and Estrada's situations somewhat similar. They're able to compete and have close matches with the top caliber guys, but it's challenging for them to get to their offense, since they're both wrestling up a weight. Sure, might be just my view, but it's something I've noticed.

I'll take a Gabe Arnold type guy all day.

There's a post on Gopher forum that Arnold ran to the Gopher huddle for the pre meet handshake, MM ran to the center mat forthe handshake and then Arnold ran back to the Iowa bench...without shaking hands.

Did that shit really happen???

You're stupid ass would be the type to believe it, and you don't even deserve a response, but Gabe ran there and tried shaking the guy's hand .The guy refused to shake his hand so Gabe came back. Then the guy went out to the center and acted like Gabe was acting some sort of way. Gabe wasn't going to stand out and wait for the guy. Bottom line if the guy would have came out when Gabe went out he would have got his handshake. Now butt hurt gopher fans are looking for anything to cry about similar to you.

I saw this, and it looked more like an awkward misunderstanding than either wrestler trying to do anything intentional. They went out at different times, Max didn’t shake right away, Gabe didn’t wait, then ran towards the gopher side? Then quick ran back. It was strange and I can see how fans of either side could interpret it as the other being a douche.

I'm going to go with neither of them are douchebags. There was respect there in my opinion.

I don't have any problem with the 84 from Minn. It was a nothing burger, but something the home crowd rallied around which we would've done the same in Carver. It made his win sweeter for the home team and more bitter for Gabe. It was a great environment and meet.

It was a question dumbass!

And I clearly stated it was on the Gopher forum.
I seem to be living rent free.

It seems the social media stuff regarding GA and his comments about CStar early this season have garnered him some negative vibes?

Agree 100%, what I saw was Gabe was announced, went out but quickly ran over to Minny 'huddle' to shake instead of waiting in middle of mat. Max didn't go for him running in to their 'huddle' and wouldn't shake there. Gabe ran back to Iowa bench. Then they announced Max, who walked to center and no Gabe there. Held his hand out to noone, then kind of did a blow off wave toward Iowa bench. Think it is all overrated. Just think Gabe's energy led him to run over to Minny huddle to shake, wasn't a Gilman move. But can also understand Max's reaction in their 'huddle'. Alot of nothing here.

Rent free would be you needing to be on the gopher forum reading what they have to say about Iowa. The gophers and clowns own your pea brain.

I visit the Gopher forum occasionally. I have read some good wrestling info there in the past. Bring your filter and you will be fine.
