Iowa at Mn PBP thread

Common man. He’s a freshman most likely not wrestling his ideal weight. 3 losses to Allred, Plott, and Mcenelly. Right there in every match. Seems a bit harsh
He isn’t a threat to get a takedown. Sure he’s in every match but it’s only cuz he’s 5 7 and guys have a hard time taking him down.

I think his chances to AA are pretty much non existent.

He's probably looking at a seed at Nattys somewhere between 12-15.
Blood round might be his ceiling.

Gable is a monster. What a shame he didn't continue his USA wrestling career.
Hopefully someone steps up and gives him 5-10 million to get back in the game.

Everyone here seems afraid to say anything remotely harsh about GA because his father posts on this forum from time to time.

But the hype when he enrolled was real.
Hell, even at 174 next year he’s going to be undersized.
Seems like a good kid and I hope he can AA before he graduates.

At many of these upper weights, the elite guys are dropping 15-20 lbs to make weight.

One would think if you played in a professional sport, that would void your college eligibility.
Especially considering part of his pro career was in wrestling that he was paid for. Can a football player go NFL for a year and then return to their college to play again?

His losses are to #4 McEnelly and #7 Allred. He has beaten #11 Smith, #12 Ruth and #18 Rogotzke. Starcocci and Keckeisen top 2 by far. Then Plott, McEnelly, Berge, and Foca are 3-6. He's going to have to beat someone of that caliber to AA most likely.

I’m not afraid to say anything. I just don’t think it’s worth bringing the heat and trashing him.

I mean what harsh thing do you want to say? He needs to open up more and try to score? Absolutely. PapaBear knows that. The guy he wrestled tonight is a tank. And Gabe went down to the wire with him on the road. . He will be fine
