I'm not even going to bother to read any of the comments in this thread but I bet there's a lot of "fans" completely losing their shit right about now and I also bet that 6 of 7 players have been called something derogatory. I'm not giving up on the Hawkeyes. Luka Garza was WHO last season?? At that point he was looking at sharing tons of minutes with Nunge and bohannon and nobody had a ton of faith for the season. Now Nunge and JBo haven't even been playing! And Garza looks like the most improved player of the year from just a year ago today and it came as a total surprise. So stop your bitching. Every Hawkeye fan should be thrilled about this season no matter what happens.

Maybe because of Garza's amazing year, for most of the season the loss of J-Bo hasn't been glaring. But in this homestretch of games, with all the pressure of being in the mix for a regular season co-championship and whatnot...his loss is finally being felt in a big way. And it's not just his scoring...it's his leadership, calmness, moxy, whatever. He's kind of this team's Bob Sanders. Without him, you're still pretty good. But with him, you feel like you can take on the world because the toughest guy in the building is wearing the same jersey as you.
