This is the first Iowa womens game I've watched this year. It seemed that the upper class women are still experiencing the loss of CC. They were so used to her setting them up they seem to have lost that confidence that they can play without her. The freshmen dont have that CC experience and play more freely.

Our post players aren’t agile enough to front Crooks and playing behind her makes it too easy on her. We have to keep pressuring the ball to make the entry pass difficult. We have also just missed too many good shots.

I don’t understand why our posts aren’t taking away crooks right shoulder. As soon as she gets a pass, slide to your left with hands straight up to at least challenge since she always turns to her right.

Jan’s a good post coach, but that’s interior D 101.

I will say this, this Iowa team seems to enjoy playing together and this Lucy Olson has an infectious attitude, but this game. This is not good basketball and I am a huge HS fan but she does that, that she just did, a lot!
