msu game was 10-7 i believe at the half until osu blew it open. so we’ll need an extra gear for sure
Not a bad half all things considered. Only being down 7 at the half in Columbus is something all of us would’ve taken in a heartbeat coming into this game. We at least have a chance.

That's why McNamara coming up way short on that woulda-been TD to Wetjen in the first quarter, the missed FG attempt, and Kirk chicken-shitting himself out of the punt fake 1st down-turned 22-yd shank stand out as much as they do.
Iowa can not afford to "aw shucks, we'll get em next time!" when it comes to scoring chances & maintaining possession in a game of this magnitude.

Playing a QB who can't throw the ball downfield is beating yourself. It makes the D's job easier.
We might get worn down but this is nothing like the 44-0 kind of ass kicking the Bitter Enders predicted.
