Another year where our offense simply isn't good enough for us to be a competitive team. How much longer is the university going to let Kirk drive this program further and further into mediocrity?
Some say this Ohio State team will win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
Well, it could be worse. Not too bad for a team that has made several mistakes and the refs are going out of their way to make life more difficult for them. Only down 7-0 for a team that doesn't seem interested in scoring any points, it could be a lot worse. We'll see if they make adjustments at halftime.

OSU is playing very conservatively. They know they don't need to score a lot of points to win, they just need to keep Iowa from scoring which isn't really that hard. Same playbook as the last two times they played. I'm not sure Iowa's defense will tire out as quickly in the 2nd half this time though since they've actually been able to get a few first downs but Iowa is going to have to do something to change the dynamic and score points.

It was a fake fake all along. Kirk standing next to the ref waiting to call the timeout the second before the snap. What's the point there?

That's a much better first half outcome than I expected. D bent all over the place, but prevented more scoring and made big plays. And O wasn't terrible. Got more 1st downs and had more TOP than I would have thought.
do you all think that blind partisan @eyesofhawk will be here to tell us how smart Kirk was with that timeout before the fake punt?
no they weren’t being conservative. iowa’s d is keeping big plays down and forcing methodical drives while our O has posessed the ball. it’s not like they went fir it on 4th down twice because they are being conservative
The problem is that Iowa played a great half being down only 7 but you just get the gut feeling that OSU can explode on you at any time
