*****Iowa vs Ohio St Game Thread*****

You can't have the greatest comeback in college football history if you don't first get down 35-0 in the 4th quarter against Ohio State on the road with a terrible offense.

Then you don’t know Iowa fans very well.

This will likely be the fourth game in a row Iowa puts a goose egg on the board against a legitimate top 25 opponent. I mean, Jesus Christ, Western Carolina or Utah Tech would have at least managed a field goal in four games. But Iowa? Nope.

And the crazy thing is there are still a ton of Iowa fans defending Kirk and his scared style of coaching. I brought this up two weeks ago after Kirk was too scared to let Noodle Arm throw a pass to the end zone with :01 second on the clock before halftime.

But hey, Kaleb Johnson overshadowed the Iowa offensive ineptness in the second half against Minnesota, so those fans creamed their pants and declared I was a cacapoopoohead and didn’t know football.

Today, they’re conspicuously silent. Weird.

In short, a lot of Iowa fans are stupid and shortsighted.
They'll be back gargling Kirk's balls after they beat some no name team at home. Kirk knows this.

I'll say it again. The Iowa offensive line is (and has been) dog shit for a few years. Add that to noone on the coaching staff that knows how to coach a QB.

Fererntz just does whatever he wants to and there is no accountability.

You think this is tough Kirk? Get ready for not being able to play as many gimmies with the new schedules coming down the pipeline.

How have our boosters not completely turned on Kirk? who is still on Kirk's side at this point
This is acceptable at Iowa. In many many things. They are all well compensated. They aren't going to fire their friends.

I've been on the fence about Kirk retiring due to how bad other teams have been when switching coaches. Iowa doesn't reload like other programs, but at some point a change is going to happen, and Kirk's refusal to change or even allow the backup QB to sniff the field when the starter is playing like shit has put me over the edge. It's time to bite the bullet and hope we find another coach who can develop and compete with 3-star talent.

The offense against these top teams is still the problem and not fixed yet.

Cade has had some good throws and we have had some guys open but without being able to threaten deep they can shut down Kaleb and the run game.

Go to get better in the pass game

And who cares about bowl games anymore as they don’t matter… all the pro prospects and seniors bow out afraid of injuries etc … but Iowa is a damn joke they’re supposed to have the best defense and they let a 17 run all over them

We should see Sullivan right now if only to give him some more experience

Lolololol.... can't wait to see the mental gymnastics from KF justifying the CM turnovers and keeping him at QB since he so values ball security.

I know Iowa fans are notoriously terrified of change but how can anyone that actually watches the games be ok with the offense being this bad for this long. Especially when you know the QB will never get benched as long as they can kind of walk.
