Neither Ullis or Perkins kept the little freshman PG in front of them. Also, I don't think the double teams on Eddey to give up wide open 3 pt shots worked out.

The advantage we had tonight was the backcourt and our backcourt totally got out-played by a couple of freshmen. Not good.

They had wide open shots all night because Iowa was sending doubles.
If we look at Ulis and Perkins overall play for the whole year, it hasn't been good. I know both have had isolated great games. But, overall it has been bad. And when I say overall, I'm saying defense as well as offense.
Smith is pretty good but not impressed with Loyer. Took him 16 shots to get his 17 points

I've watched a lot of Iowa games but I can't think of any where our leading rebounder had five.

That is after Illinois game when CMAC guarded Mayer and Mayer was 7/9. CMAC is a good role player, but he is below the rim player and not quickest.
Or was too late to close out and just got blown by.
A significant part of the wide open looks were because of his breakdowns.
