ISU upset of #6 tonight will only help HAWKS

Ya, ISU is 3-3 against da #1 SOS. Iowa's SOS is #36 according to da link here:
https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other.
The thing clown fans like you refuse to understand is that oSU and WVU are not/were not anywhere close to worthy of their rankings...and not just because they lost to ISU.

While WVU had a nice first game win vs Tenn, they haven't played anyone else of note and definitely were not worthy of a #6 ranking. oSU knocked off Boise St at home, but other than that they were 1-1 vs P5 schools (L vs TTU, W vs KU) prior to playing ISU.

Bottom line, them beating two T25 teams back to back weekends is a mirage... i.e. FAKE NEWS!

I don't know. Generally speaking, once you get past Oklahoma the rest of the Big 12 isn't worth my time paying attention to.
No doubt because the B12 doesn`t have any teams the caliber of Minnesota, Indiana, Northwestern, and certainly not Nebraska. That B10 West gauntlet really impresses the selection committee and with a CCG victory makes them a shoo in for the playoff! LOL!!!

Remember how Nebraska left the Big 12 they played for championships almost every year to come to the Big 10 and dominate and have proceeded to get their asses kicked every year?

But that's besides the point, I wasn't making a comparison between the two conferences and I wasn't asking you to give your opinion of the Big 10. I was just stating from someone who follows a Big 10 team that the only team that ever has any relevance to me is Oklahoma. I get your inferiority complex though.

What's up with Clone fans beating their chests over here? 2nd year in a row they are talking like they are the better team than Iowa even though they lost. The clones are 3-3. The little 12 is way overrated yet again

Have you figured out why they left and how they have fallen so far? No, I didn`t think so. Their Texas recruiting dried up once they left the B12 and they have never recovered. Being the Western most B10 school that had historically recruited the South but don`t play any southern schools is a killer. The further they get away from their hey day years and being in a small market, has really put them in a tough spot. They have a tough climb back to respectability.

Their Texas recruiting may have dried up but they still are a top 25 recruiting team. Look it up

When you get to the middle of the season, any undefeated team is going to be ranked -- see Cincinnati -- and if the team is from a power conference, it's going to be ranked high.

Remember what Nebraska was doing in its final years in the Big XII?

A) Big12 is a borderline "power" conference, (skeptical) points should always be deducted from any team not named Oklahoma or Texas.

B) WVU ranked at #6 without having a win against a ranked P5 power program was a farce, it just was. They don't have the 'street cred' of an Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc. in order to justify that.

C) AP and Coaches polls are completely subjective and mostly conference biased (see Coaches)...and that's a fact.

I know that Nebraska recruiting pre and post their move to a real conference isn’t any different. What did change however is the quality of the opponents they have to face week in and week out.
