MSU is bad

I didn’t think MSU would be nearly as good as preseason predictions, which I took heat for predicting, but didn’t think they would look this bad.

I highly doubt they will look that inept, or play that poorly, for any stretch of time. Aren't they coming off of a long layoff from COVID? Once they get to play a few games and start to find their groove they will most likely be pretty tough.
You mean like Gonzaga? Honestly thats a poor excuse. They should have been HUNGRY to hit the floor......

Of course they would be hungry....but timing? In game shooting? Defensive lapses? Those aren't excuses. those are common reactions. In some cases teams could have COVID at a level where a number of starters aren't practicing for a period of time....maybe Gonzaga only had a few players and the other guys were getting together regardless of coaches or protocols....

According to Mark Few he used all those same reasons for why he was concerned that the Zags would not be ready, and I think they hadn't practiced together for over 2 weeks, (supposedly). They looked fine to me......

It is glorious isn't it? They beat Duke at Duke, let that sink in.

And in doing so, they beat Duke, at Duke, easily.

Maybe they'll have a 16-team tourney at the end of the year, called the TTATT; MSU, Duke, and Kentucky will be favorites to lose in the 1st round.

Teams
Are

...it's got to very humiliating for coach Tom Izzo after being at the top for so long. I did notice his demeaner on the sidelines in tonight's game, very subdued and not ragging on the referees all game long, he knows the score....

FWIW - word in my area (SW Michigan) is that Izzo is fighting extreme fatigue from his COVID infection earlier. He's just not able to be as animated as he usually is. That being said, the MSU bench seemed to be absolutely defeated during that game. Very little emotion.

Let's Go Hawks!

All of the experts who had Michigan State evaluated as a bad to mediocre team were once again right as the Hawkeyes throttled Sparty by 6.

Don't worry MSU will somehow find themselves for our annual 30 point loss at the Breslin Center.

Uh, you did have the spread right thought... ;)

Wow - MSU is BAD. I thought I was watching a Iowa Lickliter team today...I would have never guessed that Foster Loyer was a stud coming out of HS either... I know MSU always seems to come catch fire during the March tourney, but I don't see this team doing much of anything.

Gonzaga would of had a hard time beating Iowa today.

MSU looked like one of the worst two teams in the B1G today. Great overall game by the Hawks, who took them apart at both ends . Gotta love it. Beat Izzo at Breslin by 30 with Luka having his worst shooting game in the past two years.
