We are 1 of 15 from three point range and we are still absolutely smoking them. We are a legit nine deep… Again I am super happy with the play of McCabe. She was the weakest of the nine, even with her shooting in my humble opinion and after today, I consider her a strength. And this team’s defense is not a flash in the pan. It is legit!!!

Washington State will be a good team eventually they aren’t right now, but Stanford beat them 94-65. They’re not going to get to 50.

Meh…it’s not ideal, but we know McCabe, Afolter and Mageni can shoot. Olsen is streaky, so is Feurbach, but as a team their movement and passing is outstanding and their defense and pressure is next level. Been a long, long time since we have said that about either one of our basketball programs.

I don’t think people appreciate our schedule. Drake is a very good team. Kansas will make the tournament. Va Tech will too. In fact I think they’ll finish in the top 5/6 in their league.

Toledo has a good program and hasn’t lost since we demolished them

Iirc, we've been #26 in every weekly poll so far. We keep on getting jumped by teams beating rated teams. Indiana just beat #18 Baylor. Can it happen to us again?

10 international players on their roster (including 1 Canadian), 3 US players. VERY handsy on defense, sort of reminded me of the Olympics. Wasn't there an emphasis on freedom of movement a few years ago, or was I dreaming that?

I look for them to finish no worse than 2nd in their conference

TM will be fine as well. She's a baller, her shots aren't falling right now. 6 for 6 from the free throw line though! Ava just needs to keep getting 10-13 minutes a game. I think she'll be a real problem by January.

They’ll start making them. This team plays such great defense, that as soon as the offense really starts clicking they will be a top ten team. I love watching them play.

I know she hasn’t scored yet, but McCabe looks like a completely different player today. I had to check her number just to make sure because she has her hair down. She’s moving all over the place playing defense. I’ve been pretty impressed.

I love their hustle and how they play, but other then 2 games where we did okay this three point % is becoming a recurring issue. We'll struggle against the top half of the conference if we can't do considerably better then what we've seen so far....

Yeah ... need more efficient play for them to get Ws against better B1G teams.

I love watching them play as well, but I'm not sure I share your optimism about their shooting. Lucy seems to be progressing some. Kylie has never been a consistent shooter from three and she doesn't looked to have improved at all in that aspect so far in 6 games. She air balled every three she took today. They werent even close. Hopefully Syd steps into this as well. We all know McCabe can shoot it IF she's open. That will be the challenge when the floors not spread with other shooters like last year. I know Jan wants Hannah involved with that as well. Not sure I get that. I just don't think she has the shooters eye. She still goes in spurts missing free throws in bunches. Generally someone who has a good repeatable shot, and a good shooters eye to judge distance, is an 80%+ free throw shooter. If we are going to step it up, my moneys on Olsen, Mallengi finding her shot, Syd getting back in the flow, and finding ways to get McCabe good looks.

3s from Olsen will come in spurts. I am not counting on Feurbach, she does the other things. Afolter, Mallengini & McCabe are who I’m counting on. That’s why I’ve been hard on McCabe and why I was so excited today.

She honestly played terrific. She can’t be a liability or even a “meh” and consistently be on the floor. If she keep up the moving, rebounding, passing, she’ll have multiple games where she makes 4-6.

I’ve been wait & see on this team… But I did not expect their defense to improve this much. I am very high on them right now. After seeing her past stat lines, I knew Olson was not going to be a volume three-point shooter. But I did not expect her to be automatic from 15 foot in.
