It's pretty amazing to think what Mangino accomplished there ... they've been such an armpit of the football world for so long.

I would love to see four straight top 25 classes. In Four years, when that first group are seniors, Kirk could go out with a top ten finish, the job would be super desirable.
It would be tough for anyone to pass up the Iowa job if they got to top 10, and retained most of the core. You’d think that would have some big names eyeing up IC.
I'll never quite understand why job security alone at UI isn't enough to lure a big name here.
He got injured and a lot of schools stopped recruiting him. Georgia Tech NC State Stanford Arkansas still recruiting him but those are schools Iowa can compete with.
Regarding Chase Carter... 24/7 has pretty much stated it was between the Hawks and MSU for the last six months. They've showed the Fleckster in the Final three, but maybe just as a courtesy to the home State school.

HIC - why? Twins said he talked to a SEP coach who said Iowa wasn’t in the top 3. Same type of source that said Bruce “begged” to go to ISU when Bruce said Twins was lying? Or is he still lying about sources and calling high school kids liars especially AA high school kids who Twins seems to target as liars? I don’t like to call people liars or racist but Twins seems to be getting close on both fronts.
They’re reaching out to a lot of guys. Recruits, former players, and even some current guys. From what it sounds like, they have connections with Tyler Goodson, Tyrone Tracy, and Charlie Jones, all of whom are currently on the team.
Yep, I look at the CF site occasionally to simply laugh at what they are saying & “predicting”.
