I know the second team need some time on the field, but it would have been nice to see a shut-out the first game of the season! Happy for the win none the less.

Ferentz said--and I know you can never believe KF when his lips are moving--but I heard him say Derrick Mitchell was the third back and that yes, Wadley was still there: "We haven't forgotten about him." So why was Wadley in there at the end instead of Mitchell? Was Mitchell hurt?

Daniels and Canzeri both did a god job and appear solid, but neither has that breakaway speed. My understanding is that Mitchell might. Wadley does, but man, that fumble was tough.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows what's up with Mitchell.

Sorry for the fun. At least some of you have me pegged.

Been a fan as long as I can remember. It's part of who I am. Win, lose, exciting, boring, it dones not matter, when I can, I watch and follow on the web. Won't be able to for the next three weeks, so I thought i'd poke the bear before coming back because I would miss too many ridiculous comments if I don't come back to 4-0. Or likely some even if we are 4-0.

Any criticism of the coaching staff anytime is ridiculous!

We as Hawkeye fans must show resolve in the face of adversity! No matter if that adversity is losing to a 2-10 ISU team, showing zero fight in the bowl game, or clipping ball state while our offensive game plan on third and 4 was to throw the ball for a 2 yard completion.

We as fans must mindlessly accept everything that goes on! We as fans must fall in line! Any differing opinions should be punishable by banishment from the fan base! True fans cheer for their team and rationalize Iowa recent decline!

This creates an unsettled work environment. Maybe we should have an HR rep pay a visit and talk about practicing ethical standards in the workplace.)
