This is one of the best rosters Iowa has assembled in years and can't make the sweet 16.... **** me I am not holding out any hope for the future. This is the last time I have any expectation of Iowa basketball doing something significant.

I hate to be a pessimist but you are right. You have to find a way to recruit a different type of player to change things at Iowa.

If this is the best Fran can do - which it is - (player of year on roster + seasoned veterans) ... he has shown he is simply an average coach ...

I’ve never been a fan of Fran.. I said to myself ‘well, this is the year for Fran to show he is a good coach...’

Garza carried this team.. Fran gets out coached in big games and close games.. Fran had no answer ...

This is probably the best post I have read in a LONG TIME... ans not being sarcastic in any way shape or form... it hits you like a ton of bricks.. it’s a true shame and at 48 years old I don’t think I will ever witness any of the above from Iowa BB it’s super sad that or last great years were in the 1970’s!!!

It’s counterintuitive and I didn’t want to say it myself, but he’s the biggest reason that we’re stuck in zone all game. I’m not sure that Iowa will be better with how much we lose, but the Hawks will be able to throw a lot more looks at other teams

I am not saying the Hawks weren’t bad……but I am also pretty confident in saying that Houston, OSU, or Bama would not be beating Oregon today. That ain’t no frickin’ 7 seed.

Iowa has been better than Oregon on both ends of the floor, they don't have anyone to match up with Garza, and the defense has been very good for more than a month. But a lifetime as a Hawkeye fan has me feeling like Charlie Brown going to kick the football.
