*****Official Miami (OH) at IOWA Game Thread*****

This sport is getting unwatchable. Can't even block anybody anymore. Lead with shoulder, head is on top of shoulders, what's a guy supposed to do? Just layoff I guess.

Call is legit, he targeted his head with his shoulder. No point to it at all.

Incidental as player was losing control and stumbling, but rule doesn't allow for that. Good call whether we like it or not.

He put his shoulder into the guy's chest. Look at the motion where he throws his shoulder. Leading with the head is using it as a weapon. He clearly meant to hit with his shoulder, the head was incidental conduct. Shite is happening so fast out there you can't avoid incidental contact like that. If you think you can avoid it you have never played the game and are fooling yourself.

There was no intent from Jewel. Miami tripped and stuck his head out.
This. The Miami player lowered his head at the last step, otherwise Josey wouldn't have hit him in the head. I'm fine with targeting rules, but there needs to be interpretation of intent. Sometimes the hits to the head are due to the injured player.

While y'all talk about JJ the offense just put together a helluva efficient drive.

Well we'll build some depth and LB and keep Jewell healthy for next game.

I'll stick my neck out, but it is obvious, even after the first drive Wadley is CLEARLY the better RB. Use Daniels to give Wadley some rest, and take him out in certain offensive situations...

At this point, kick-offs seem to be in good feet. Thanks for coming to Iowa, Mr Coluzzi

I agree, I'd split 67-33.

From the way they ran the first drive it seems the coaches feel the same thing you do.
