*****Official Northwestern @ IOWA Game Thread*****

This D reminds me of the Iowa D in 2000. Good enough to get to 3rd down but not good enough to get off the field.

The fact of the matter is if Iowa is a real threat to win the west let alone 9 games, relying on shit refs against a doormat in the west does leave much optimism.

So as soon as the ball touches a player it's considered a catch now days? That was not a touchdown at any level. When he truly had control of the ball he was out of bounds
Sadly, he did have control with his right foot dragging. He never lost control as he landed. If he had, no catch.

How much better does Iowa's offense look when they run no huddle? Don't let the players overthink, just get up to the line and snap. Iowa should stick to the hurry up until NW stops it convincingly.

And how awful are these refs? I remember NDSU not getting a penalty until the 4th quarter. NW has zero penalties right now. Refs missed a blatant pass interference. For ***** sake, when is Iowa going to get some home cooking this season?
If it works count on Kirk to immediately move away from it. Guy is mind boggling.
Better give him another extension. Laughable.

Thing is the guy never had the ball until his foot was clearly out. Un friggin believable

Prediction after this injury break: First play, LD for a long TD. Called back by the dicks.

Wth was that King? Lol
Does our staff teach our players to fall down with the ball and pursue defensive players so they can get tackled? Lol

So he maintained control while he was out of bounds. He never had complete control while in bounds. If he juggled the ball and still caught it while he was out of bounds is that a catch in your mind as well?

There was no evidence that he was juggling the ball -- certainly not on video. I wish it weren't the case, but that was a catch. All day.

This dickbag needs to stfu, if its PI why not call it both ways

Is it just my Hawkeye bias, or does the officiating go against Iowa a disproportionate amount of the time?

I'm not just talking about this game, and I'm not just talking about this season.

Its games like these you have to wonder about the impartiality of certain officiating crews.

Theyre consistantly missing what everyone else can see plain as day and giving every toss up to one team.

Hard to believe. They know they're on espnU and not a brocast that is organized enough to catch on.

I hate the spread out look on 3rd and short. And this OL is killing our D.

Can we just take all these drop back throws out of the playbook? CJ is so much better with the quick decision throws and the line can't hold the rush long enough.

Switching back between Iowa and Iowa State. Announcer just said, "Iowa State has a young, aggressive staff" as Iowa State leads #13 Baylor 35 - 21.
