Fran is a decent coach, he’s done enough to keep me interested. I’d like to see some deeper runs in the tournament though.
Because fran is an ass. If you start a thread and it’s similar to a thread fran started two years ago, he complains to the mods that people are posting duplicate threads. fran will never respond in some else’s thread, he copies posts from other threads and posts then into his two year old thread. He keeps posting in his thread to try and stay on top. I get it he probably has a mental disorder but it doesn’t change the fact he’s an ass.
Because theres a BIG difference between providing useful information, (which everyone here appreciated), and trying to over run other posts, control or demean other posters views, and have an almost pshycotic view that your ALWAYS right. For sometime that latter has overrun the former, and that needed to stop. I would say just IMHO, but thats not the case because many here grew tired of that posters relentless need to be the KING of the board...
Things were much better around here when he took his hiatus.
So let me see if I have this straight. You guys hate fran for posting articles and tweets that a lot of us appreciate because we don't have the time resources to dig out these Hawkeye nuggets for ourselves, but somehow all the posts complaining about fran are supposed to be entertaining, informative and perfectly acceptable?
I don't have anyone on "Ignore," but once again, you have the option of pushing the button on fran if you don't want to see what he posts. I just wish there was a button for a lot of what I see going on in the world today. Now that would be a great ignore button. Mr. Kakert, get on that one, will ya?

No Ron that is EXACTLY the point as I clearly stated above. IF he was simply posting the information and articles that contribute, that would be fine, and as I stated appreciated, as it was. Its the over running of others posts, even posting articles that have already been posted by Tom or Blair or others and then constantly posting them so they stay at the top. Its the berating others who don't always share his opinion on every post. Basically the whole I'm running things on this board and anyone who disagrees will be over run by my relentless number of posts until I wear them out. Its the"I'm always right" BS that comes along with it. I used to take the bad with all the good, until the bad started covering the good with a deluge of BS.
??? So you don't have an issue with a single poster trying to control the information and running down anyone who doesn't agree with his views? Super, thats your opinion, and one thats certainly not shared by many other people who contribute here, including I'd bet some of the people from Rivals......
I live in Moline. I’m not sure if I am ready to make the leap to watch a recruit in high school. I do like basketball though.
When he’s even annoying multiple mods, then that says something. I used to just avoid him and his threads until he cane after me because I posted Kris may or may not come back. Fran acts like he’s a mod with special connections and posters need to listen to him. You might be fine with him, I used to be, until he came after me.
A person has only so much anger energy. I suggest it be saved for things that really matter.
No single poster is a problem, but what is a problem is when people get into pathetic middle school level ego and turf battles.
Fran posts a lot of very useful information, but maybe the reposting and reposting of the same information wears on some people, as do the ego battles about so called “status”, and whose thread is more read. As if any of that matters in anyway. But he does do a lot of work and adds to the community.

One way to slow the constant bickering is to ban anyone who calls another any name - like moron, idiot, etc (or worse). Maybe for a week the first time, and double it every occurrence.
This isn’t anger, he’s annoying. You obviously didn’t read the message from one of the mods to him, so it’s not just the posters overreacting.

@Franisdaman, I feel like you shouldn't worry all that much about duplicate threads or who started what topic of conversation 10 months ago and who didn't. Quit wasting my, Tom and Blairs time with your petty complaints. You obviously haven't seen the message I sent you earlier today, even though you are on here 24/7, have over 54,000 posts and can't seem to not keep your thoughts and comments out of other threads. Do not send in another report about someone starting a duplicate thread because you have already started the same thread. Got it?
And, yes, I did put this here, in public, because I know you will see it. Grow the hell up and stop acting like a 3 year old!

If you don't like what somebody consistently writes, block them.
There are very few rules here and none of them pertain to where or largely what people say. Life is too short to worry about those kinds of irritations.
If you disagree with someone, argue with them. Nothing about arguing requires name calling, bad sarcasm or snark.
Four pretty simple rules that would do us all good to follow, myself included.

You caught me in a moment of cognitive dissonance. I'm playing Across the Universe, which is supposed to have a calming effect and watching a brutal horror movie so I cannot think of a good response. Just have to let George do my talking for me.

I appreciate all the fran stuff except the childish bickering, which I deftly scroll past. Not difficult at all. Suggest you try it. And if my posts bother you so much, as they seem to, you know where the ignore button is.

That's why I originally was reading this thread, to get information. Then fran had to complain to the mods about a duplicate thread and started screwing with this thread, and now here we are. Fran just needs to stay in his threads since he has so many of them.
I was sad when he came back. I wonder if another team could NIL him away from us?
