So he thinks wrestling will become a monopoly and only 5 or so teams will be able to compete because of NIL?

It sounded to me like he doesn't really know what NIL is or who is driving the bus.
His biggest concern seems to be that he missed out on it, and he's afraid it will take butter off his RTC bread.

I know how yall feel about mineo but he’s a big recruit.
Would be a huge addition to the 2025 class, and he could in theory step right into a starting spot. Michigan is always tough to beat.
He's definitely visiting Iowa in a few weeks.

Ludington won Fargo this year with a win over Cade Ziola in the finals. was supposed to wrestle at WNO but was injured at Elite 8 (where he beat #2 and #4). tried to wrestle at S32. won his first three w/ bonus but then defaulted out day 2.

He wrecked Ziola at Fargo. That was tough to watch, it was so bad. Dominating on his feet and great turns. Ziola is going to NE.
Unless we land another high level transfer, it will be a true freshman at 197 next year, with miller and possibly him coming in. Az state really falling apart.
why not build Angelo to 197? the weight class clears out something fierce next year. like 6 of the top 8. Ten of Top 12 (in my CB).

We should still pursue Harvey, he’s one of the best wrestlers in his class. Landing Harvey would give us blue chippers at 74-HVY.

Same thing pretty much applies to 84 as well. Starocci, Keckeisen, Plott, Foca, Ruth all graduate. I don't think there would be anyone at either weight that he couldn't beat.
I have no idea on what these guys are eyeing for '26 and beyond, but the thought of 74 Arnold, 84 Ferrari, 97 Ludington, and Hwt Kueter makes me very happy.

Probably too much to ask in a year. He's put on weight obviously, but he's still not a full grown 184 yet.
True, he wrestled 165 at Ironman and said it was easy cut. He’s still trying to beef up into a good size 184. Let him wrestle at his ideal weight. We didn’t try to push Spencer into 133 or 141 just because he’s so talented. If he naturally grows into it some day, fine. I thought Star was a huge 174 and wondered how he made weight. Even he went up only one weight. Angelo said he would be a 174 to start in college unless he picks Iowa, who wanted him at 184, so he is already going up a weight from what he feels would be ideal right now.
Angelo can get bigger than most think . He was lifting heavy this summer trying to put on size and did get just over 200. He's a 184 at this point. 174 is definitely passed him now . With his length he can become a 197 if he wanted. Like JRod said 184 clears out as well. Ludington and Angelo would be a great situation for Iowa and would definitely work itself out.
Will need a true freshman going 197, and ludington seems more ready than Miller. If we don’t land him, I can’t think of another 197 transfer that may be available next year anywhere close to Buchanan, other than AJ. I know most fans here would rather have a hole at 197 for a year or two rather than give him a shot. It would provide our hopefully 2 true freshman 2 years training with high end veteran and whoever emerges after that will still have 3 years as starter.

Let's stop debating where top end talent fits and just get it in the door.
You must think highly of him, but I would guess that Liberty can easily get it through the door, erect or not.
