and chances are that’s the longest td run by a 300+ pounder at any level.

Yep that is the one. I couldn't remember how far it was, but was certainly amazed a guy that size wasn't caught by someone!!!

The "get undersized guys and build them into stars" mantra is extinct. Very few guys anymore are willing to put in 3-4 years of work to get to that point. The transfer portal is full of guys who didn't see their moment in the sun. Krauthawk posted a list of 13 D linemen. 9 of them are underclassmen. I would be willing to wager at least 4 of the 9 do not complete their eligibility as Hawkeyes. That isn't a problem as long as you have new guys coming in who are ready to see the field.

As per Nixon - I guess he would have to be considered fast. How many lineman can run 30 or 40 yards for a touchdown with no one even able to catch him? Or was that someone else?

Nixon had a longer interception and return late in the Pen State game. He is fast and explosive for his size, but I doubt that anyone really wanted to catch him.
