Sounds like a tropical storm outside right now. So weird.
Reed found a tornado. It got windy and he had to get back in the car. I’ve never heard someone so excited.

Crestview is about 30 miles west of me. So far, the rain hasn't been (1.7") but the winds are whipping. Sustained around 25mph with gusts at 40-45.

I tried to go to sleep after the championship game, but the storms were rolling one after another.
We had numerous warned tornados in our area. Something thing hit Destin with an 89 mph wind. They don't know it it was tornado or straight line wind.

First Coast counties (NEFlorida) have schools in five counties closed along with government offices, libraries, waste pickups. Lots of businesses closing too. Daughter’s dentist just canceled her appointment this morning.
SEGeorgia expecting an extreme event as well.
At the moment no rain and just a bit breezy but we expect to be slammed starting around 2-3 PM. The weatherman indicating 60-70 mph wind gusts are likely putting it near hurricane force. And it should all be over by 7-8 PM.

Schools are closed in Tallahassee and Thomasville. Looks like a mild hurricane outside.
Had a confirmed tornado in South Walton. Recorded a 106mph wind gust.

6 minutes of Reed Timmer highlights from overnight. At around 3 minute mark, it shows where he gets out of car and then realizes that the tornado is coming right at him.
