The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

Elon is so MAGA

“I don’t see any scenario where they’re responsible for less than 10% of the value destruction, so around $4 billion.” It’s logical to assume that by “value,” Musk means the $44 billion paid for the property, not the equity portion. After all, if you bought a house for $440,000, borrowed $130,000, and funded the remaining $310,000 in cash, and the price fell, you’d calculate the fall in “value” based in how much less than $440,000 the dwelling would fetch today.

In Musk’s reckoning, the ADL singlehandedly vaporized roughly $4 billion in X’s “value,” and that $4 billion accounts for around 10% of the entire decline in the franchise’s worth. That formula puts the total fall at $40 billion. Since Musk and partners paid $44 billion including debt, he’s implying that the platform would now change hands for $4 billion (the $44 billion purchase price minus the $40 billion in “value destruction”), for a drop of 90%. In effect, he’s saying that the $31 billion he and his partners invested in equity is totally gone, and a big portion of the debt from provided by the cream of Wall Street sits far underwater.

“If we stay true to the truth…”

😂

Such a silly quote/phrasing. I would hate to be a person who thought that that was an insightful comment.

Fact

There are literally dozens of "blue checks" posting gaming footage and claiming it is Israel/Gaza war footage.

Musk is doing ZERO to eliminate those accounts.

Here you go genius:

@CommunityNotes

Flag it and move on. Blue checks without verified organization tags don’t represent the organization they claim. I thought this was common knowledge.

No; they are not.
You're spreading misinformation with comments like this.

Lolol imagine thinking anything Malcolm Nance says is a win 🤣😅😂

It's good to see you lefties are still raging over one of your censorship machines being taken down. Must be rough not having your fingers on the scales anymore..

Oh and “Literally dozens” you say?
More like hundreds of thousands.

I was referring to "dozens" of posts pushing video game footage as Gaza or Ukraine footage. In case that one was unclear for you.

You could Google this up, if you wanted to be informed on the topic:

One clip, depicting a helicopter being shot down by shoulder-fired missiles, received over 2.5 million impressions on X. “NEW VIDEO : Hamas fighters shooting down Israel war helicopter in Gaza,” the user caption read. Another Arma 3 clip depicting helicopters being shot down garnered over 8.5 million impressions. Both posts received community notes tags clarifying their source, but were not removed from the website.

More like bazillions!

This does zero to eliminate misinformation.

Which is why it is now widespread on that platform.

Who determines what is misinformation? I sure as hell wouldn't put someone like you in charge! The problem with old Twitter was that highly intolerant hyper political fools were in charge of censorship.

They were exporting their radicalism, their hyper partisanship, their intolerance, their hateful world view to the whole world, and censoring anyone who opposed it.

Had no idea it was "Opposite Day" today!!!

I wonder how rich and worshipped by incels I'd be if I was born into one of the wealthiest families in apartheid South Africa:
It would depend on what you accomplished from that starting point.
There’s a reason most lottery winners owe more money when they get their last lottery check than when they got their first one.

Not sure if true but it would be consistent for E-Loon

Are you incapable of critical thought?

A baseless, no source assertion is made and you just believe it at face value? Have you not learned your lesson from using the internet? Then you do not click on the original video tweet source that says this:

Nor the Community Note context attached to it.

“There is no evidence to support the claim that this tech was “stolen” via “industrial espionage”. The architectural similarities (grid fins, A-Arm landing legs) shown can easily be sighted in SpaceX’s YouTube videos of similar tech demos and current flights https://youtu.be/ZwwS4YOTbbw?si=sS73O0koJqOrKdu5

Besides the fact that SpaceX is not “American technology” it is SpaceX’s technology.

Nothing you said or shared makes even a shred of sense. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

There was a TV show about the fate of lottery winners, and it said that due to poor investment choices and financing expensive, high maintenance purchases, most lottery winners ended up with bigger debt after they got their last lottery check than when they got their first.
Now maybe they're financing well performing investments, and that's why their debts are larger at that point, but I'm dubious of that. Some people get caught off guard how fast you can burn through a few million dollars, especially if you're not real sharp in the first place and now suddenly a mark for all manner of scammers.
Anytime I'm travelling for work and end up having to grab a receipt inside the convenience store, I never get the sense I'm 3 deep behind people with lottery tickets that are also more financially astute than Wall Street.

I think in the end a person can't be smaller than their fortune, or leeches will relieve them of its burdens.
If they're larger than the fortune they're gifted, they'll grow it regardless of where it starts.

Okay. You are comparing Elon to a lottery winner. I guess you find Elon quite underperforming.

Elon hid from servers in order to avoid a custody battle with Grimes, the mother of three of his children.
Not exactly what you'd expect from a guy who challenged Mark Zuckerberg to step into a ring with him.
This is why people think Musk is a nut, and question all of the companies he leads. Normal people don't do stuff like this
